March 2018 Progress

Shameless BLAEO Generators promotion

If you missed my previous post, I’ve released BLAEO Generators recently. It allows you to generate bars and game boxes (like the ones in this post) for use in your BLAEO posts. It also autofills playtime and achievement data for you! For those already aware, I’ve released the v1.01 update, which fixes a couple of things.

Completed/beaten games I'm done with

Poker Night at the Inventory

27.6 hours of playtime, 20 of 20 achievements

More in the February 2018 progress post
This month I’ve finally got the last 2 achievements of this game: Win A Game, Hard and Four of a Kind. To be honest, Win A Game, Hard was actually easy, but Four of a Kind was a real pain the butt - to get that achievement, I had to be lucky enough to get a four of a kind, and then win. Since it’s entirely luck-based, if you’re very lucky, you can get this achievement in your first hour, but if you’re unlucky, it may take you 50 hours to get it. This achievement was a real pain in the butt, and I had to use a script to automatically play the game for me >:(

Poker Night 2

19.9 hours of playtime, 18 of 18 achievements

More in the February 2018 progress post
I’ve had 3 more achievements to complete this month: Personality Goes a Long Way, Unlock all the Things and We Are the 1%. Out of all of them, We Are the 1% was the hardest - it required you to have a lifetime positive balance of 1 million dollars. Each tournament win grants you $80k, and each loss takes away $20k, which meant that I had to win at least 13 tournaments to get this achievement. Quite an annoying achievement, but at least it isn’t entirely luck based like the PN1 achievements.

OneShot

7.3 hours of playtime, 11 of 11 achievements

Oh boy, OneShot… This game is amazing. It’s like Undertale was happening all over again, except that it was even better. In OneShot, you guide a young child through a world that lost its sun, in order to repair it. I can’t really say anything more about this game… it’s so great. Play this game blind. Do not look up walkthroughs or playthroughs. Don’t go too far into the reviews. The less you know, the better.

The Oil Blue

14.8 hours of playtime, 31 of 31 achievements

More in the February 2018 progress post
I’ve reached rank 2, the semi-final rating in the game… And the game tells me that I’ve unlocked everything and there’s no reward for reaching rank 1. Kinda disappointed, but hey, at least I can deal with the rest of my backlog now!

Transistor

14.7 hours of playtime, 33 of 33 achievements
Challenge Me! Feb-Mar

More in the February 2018 progress post
In this game, you, a famous singer, find a dead body with a sword called Transistor sticking out of it. It turns out that your voice was stolen and the sword is able to talk. You decide to pursue whoever killed the man and stole your voice. I can’t go any further, since that would spoil the game. I’ve had tons of fun with the combat system, since you’re able to build your own moveset - 4 attacks with max. 2 upgrades each and 4 passive abilities. The soundtrack and the visuals are gorgeous, and I recommend everyone to give this game a try.

2064: Read Only Memories

19.1 hours of playtime, 64 of 64 achievements

A point-and-click game, similiar to Snatcher. In this game, you, a journalist struggling to earn enough money to live, look for your friend Hayden, who has gone missing, together with his new invention, Turing, the first sapient robot on the world. I wanted to play the mobile version, but I decided to get the PC version instead, because the mobile version lacks voice acting (except for intro/endings). I liked this game - story is enjoyable, puzzles are quite easy, soundtrack is good and the voice-acting is superb. If you like point-and-click games with a good story, you’ll want to play this.

I’m glad you liked Oneshot! I took a big leap when I bought it on zero knowledge. I’m glad I did though!
I’m also happy you played Transistor! Looks like you getting through some fun games in April.

Thanks for your comment! The games I picked certainly are fun, but getting 100% on some of them will be quite difficult - Just Cause 2 is full of things to collect, and collecting them all is going to take very long, Hotline Miami 2 requires you to get an A+ on all levels and Owlboy has a very grindy achievement. I’ll be very busy this month!
