June Reprot - The Walking Dead

There are some games, you should play once in your lifetime.

9/10

A superb game with perfect plot. I played this game after finishing life is strange. I have to admit, though life is strange released three years later, draw lessons from the experience, and published by a big company. It is still a gap from The Walking Dead.

It is highly recommended that to play the game without any guaid, and respect your first choice. Then you will truly feel the thrill of the game.

Although it’s a game contains of zombies. It isn’t a horror game. And the zombies aren’t the main characters of the game. They more like the game’s background. What the game actually presented to the players is the humanity when facing an impasse. The players can make many choices to the dialog and behaviors. And will feel the influence of the choices. It creates a strong sense of substitution. The game control is very simple, to confirm the gaming experience is quite fluent. So, according to the game content, it is neally a perfect game.

However, the developer is only a small company. Even ingoring the defect on display and the control experience, the plot itself has a great defect. Actually, the story of this game is a single line. When you replay this game and try to make a different choice, you will find that actually nothing is changed by your choice. So it’s better to play this game only once.

In the end. the DLC of this game is not worth buying. The DLC is very very short, and neally has no influence to the main story.

Great game! This was my first Telltale game and i fell in love with the story and characters.

The DLC doesnt affect the first game but it does effect the second game (barely). Def should be bough super cheap though.

Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Sorry, had to say it :]

And no, I can’t agree. I’ve played the game twice and enjoyed it both times equally. First I was doing it and trying to protect Clem in every possible way, keeping her out of harms way and not letting her do things. More on the survive than attack focus ;)
The second time I tried it with preparing her for the mean zombie infected world!
Both of them felt totally different to me. One was the nice and the other the though go. And I kept that thought up for the second game. In the first Clem is the nice girly, who’s afraid and scared and in the second she is the toughest girl <3
Guess you can see how differently they ended with Lee :]

And since I love the game and it was my intro into the TT games…. I could even go back today and play it again <3
Yeah, no time. Gonna kill those HOGs instead :D

Happy backlog killing!

OK. I definitely agree it. It’s my fault to only focus on everyone is dead or alive. Ofcourse everyone’s feeling and attitude is different by different choices. This is also worthy playing again.

Well only focusing on deaths I absolutely agree: there is no difference. But as you said yourself: The dead are “more like the background”. So relationships and feelings are the main thing.
Ah, hope, I’m not bothering you ;)

My favorite Telltale game to date:). Also probably the only one I truly enjoyed, although I’ve yet to play the Borderlands one.

That one was just great! TdW still is my favorite though ;)
