Getting more frequent :D

Hello Backloggers! Here is my potato!

Game Progression

Over the last few days since my previous post my backlog has not increased, beside picking up Destiny 2 for free [I probably will not play it, we will see]. I have mostly just been playing a load of Shadow of War. I am not sure if I will get all the achievements. I finished the main campaign, Act 4 was a slog and I am quite grateful they reduced it to 3 stages instead of 10. I am now working my way through the expansions, starting with Blade of Galadriel. Enjoying it. It is just more Shadow of War with a some different abilities and what not.

  • Middle-earth™: Shadow of War™

    68 hours playtime

    52 of 72 achievements

Keen to get this done so that I can free up the +- 100GB it is taking on my SSD XD I was hoping to pick up some dope games on the Halloween sale but it sucked for me. Hoping the remaining sales this year are better :D

Conclusion

Also really considering getting a PS4, the number of incredible exclusives on that platform are amazing. Just not sure if I should wait for PS5? I wonder if it is worth it getting a PS4/PS4 Pro now this holiday season. I dunno.

Until next time

SSDs drop in price like crazy, they did drop by nearly 50% since January. In September 2016 my SSD (240GB) cost 70€. Now for that price I could buy 480GB. I wait till price of 240GB will drop to like 25€, to change HDD in my laptop. So in some time you may buy bigger SSD for pennies, and stop to worry about game size :D

I saw rumors that that Sony may release PS5 in 2019 or 2020. I’d also want to play in those exclusives, and don’t have console. But I waited that long, can wait bit longer. To see if PS5 will be backward compatible (then I’d buy PS5). Or buy PS4 Pro from sales right before new console release.

Unless you’d hunt for nice promotion during Black Friday, beat exclusives you want, and sell it later.

Yeah. At the moment I only have the one 500GB but I will get another soon :D
Yeah we will see, the thing is you wait for so long then the new one comes out then you wait a bit more and the next one is nearly out already. I am just wondering how long a cycle is? If the PS4 will be supported for the next 5 or so years or will it be obsolete and PRO and PS5 will be supported when that one drops. Also if I wait long enough, Red Dead will come to PC and then that will help with the exclusive problems.

I am going to see this black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas. If I can get it for under R5000 then I will probably pull the trigger.

I think PS3 was supported for 3 years after PS4 was released. PS4 was released 5 years ago. And PS3 is not supported for a long time now. It just gets some of multiplatforms.
