World End Economica is down!
(My playtime is not really correct though, since I had it in between running as a Let's Play, soooooooooo, it's way more. But hush ;) )
Hal has lived 8 years with us checking periodically in on him and his… friends. Mostly. But not only. Also enemies. He grew from a stupid kid - wait he was in truth 17 when we first met him? I'm pretty sure they told us in the last one he is 25…. What's going on! I thought he was like min 8 max… 12/13? Well, way younger anyways! Apparently not.
Ok, ok. So Hal overcame disaster one - what was that about again? Making money for poor ppl to safe them? We survived disaster two - energy crisis? - and were named Hero of the Luna Surface while doing so. And finally overcame disaster three, which is only the aftermath of everything else. Ugh. Hal grew from a stupid, rude kid to a wise, not so old man. Apparently. He found what he lost. Lost a lot on the way. And honestly I just don't get this whole thing.
Btw WHY do we never visit Hals parents? Why don't they care AT ALL? Why don't we know if they did the same as everybody else in three? Why, why, why? And why wasn't moon capable of running without money, rather risked doing the same things earth did all this time? Oh yeah, and nearly having everybody dying bc what if the energy supplier runs out of money and stops working? Brilliant right?
Oh and WHY do we have a Doctor Wallace and am I the only person who thought Doctor WHO? Yeah, right. He wasn't though, which rly is a good thing or I would have been SO disappointed. (Why am I writing so much things in… uh… capslock?)
Btw: I. Am. Done. I shall not return to this. I am not sure if I am grateful for being challenged to play it. But I certainly am grateful there is a Let's Play out there - although the last 3h didn't work out, so I had to read the rest. I still don't like Hal, I still don't get the talk half the time - also don't get why they have to talk about it, if they know about everything and therefore could just NOT talk about it and just do it, so we had to read less… of that kinda stuff. I still think the story might have been more or less nice, if we left the whole stock thing and just had the personal stuff and therefore only had one game instead of three and would have been done in… ugh… maybe 6h? I wanted to say something else, but I forgot, so I won't.

Ok, this happened. I'm a bit dumbfounded right now. Not only do we get thrown into the situation without a real clue, we also get no indication as to what to do - well apart from saving Ira. There is nothing sparkling - shocking rly ;) So it's clicking time! \o/ Yeah, it's pretty quick, pretty obvious what things are clickable and what not. Also some things make a sound if you can interact with them, with something else.
Ok, figured that out. Onwards we go! And done we are! Wait, what? Already? I figured it was a quick one, but that quick? Apparently it is so. Well, finished. Nice!
Sadly the translations are pretty bad. I didn't try it in German, but the English was… ugh, BAD! Never mind, it doesn't have that much text to start with :]

Welp, you'll probably ask, why the heck I was freaking out the moment I realized this was a Daedalic game. I mean, I was really, super duper annoyed. Like wanna run away from it - annoyed. But didn't. I did this!
Secondly I was SO bored/annoyed by the first half of the game. It was all so retro perspective and it felt like such a waste of game time! Still didn't abandon it. (This time it might even have not been that bad. Come on! WHO abandons a game just bc of the name? Right, so I won't give up now either. Well, didn't. Ugh, what ever.) The moment we finally caught up with the "now time" I started to enjoy this. By the end of the game I reached the point where I could say: "Yeah, this works." Still, I don't love it.
Drawings and all that was super… well, Daedalic like. I guess the whole setup of the game was. But I liked the climate change as a topic. And the weird time travel thing. (Still no Doctor Who in sight -.-)
And with this I concluded the first Batch! \o/
Recommendation? Daedalic Fan? Yeah. No Daedalic Fan? No.
