I am so glad to have returned to this lovely game. I am very certain, that nobody will remember my post from years ago. Back then I was finished with the main story of Witcher 3, playing on normal difficulty. I didn't own the DLCs and I didn't do all the side quests. In fact I thought I have about 30 hours of gameplay in those side quests left.
Well now I purchased the DLCs in the meantime, time to play them. I wanted to try to get all achievements, so I started playing on death march difficulty. After a couple of ours in the game, I was very suprised, that it is not so hard as expected. It isn't as easy as on other difficulties, but it is totally managable. You can't be impatient in fights, but you can survive every combat situation.
After around 160 hours I finished the main story with all the side stuff in Velen, Novigrad, Skellige and White Orchard. If you are interested, that is 100 hours extra compared to the first playthrough. Another 80 hours later both DLCs were done.
