8th Week of 2018 / Summary of February

Done with these this week:

  • Pickers

    9 hours playtime

    40 of 40 achievements

  • The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav

    13 hours playtime

    36 of 36 achievements

Pickers. A mix between HOG and Simulation, I guess. I love both of these genres so I enjoyed this little game. Replayed for achievements, otherwise it’s not worth starting the second time.
The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav. As I’ve only played one Daedalic Entertainment game before - Deponia - and I hated it, I wasn’t expecting much from this. Nonetheless, I was mildly surprised as I really enjoyed playing this story, although it was somewhat shallow (the last third of the story saved it all).

Next week ends in March so here’s the summary of other games finished in February:

  • Knights of Pen and Paper +1

    33 hours playtime

    33 of 42 achievements

What can I say. Pathetic. :D All in all, 2 games completed 100% and 1 game beaten.

Next up: Hotline Miami (won on SG), Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition (gifted by friends), Total War: WARHAMMER (Humble Monthly). Worst case deadline: 31 March.

  • Hotline Miami

    74 minutes playtime

    0 of 35 achievements

  • Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition

    2 hours playtime

    0 of 47 achievements

  • Total War: WARHAMMER

    7 hours playtime

    0 of 185 achievements

Glad that you liked ‘Chains of Satinav’ and it did not turn out to be a second ‘Deponia’. Looking forward to your opinion on TW:Warhammer, I never know whether to put it on my wishlist or not :D

Deponia seemed really bad for me because I couldn’t play it without a guide - the item combinations were not very logical, and the main character annoyed me a lot. Chains of Satinav was way better in both of these departments. I’m looking forward to playing Memoria sometime soon, which is part of the same universe, I believe. :) Regarding TW:Warhammer - the only game I’ve ever played from the Warhammer universe (or Warhammer 40k, I don’t really know if it’s the same) is Vermintide, and I didn’t play much of that either as my PC was horrible at the time. I hope I will enjoy it, would be nice to get immersed into yet another universe :)
