Not even in Christmas I had time to finish a game
I wanted to finish at least one more game before the end of the year (even if I don’t 100% it) but RL made things a tad too complicated. I tried to get Endless Fables: The Minotaur’s Curse done since HOGs aren’t very long but I didn’t get really far. All I can say about it is that it’s your usual Artifex Mundi game with a female protagonist having to deal with some supernatural stuff (I’d be surprised if we ever get a HOG that has a male MC and is more realistic) also the art looks great and the puzzles aren’t very hard so I expect to finish it this week if nothing unexpected happens
Damn I didnt even think about that. I own alot of the artifex mundi games and yeah they dont like males….
Same with my 100% orange juice games for months they only released out girl characters, only now have they started bringing out more male characters even if they have to be the manliest of men ever but its men!
Be interesting and surprising to see if we do get any hog let alone the artifex mundi hogs that have a male mc and just not the typical females
There are HOGs of other developers/publishers with male protagonists (Adam Wolfe probably being the most notable example) but indeed Artifex Mundi seems to avoid them. It’s surprising that even finding a single such game in their catalogue is hard, but considering the fact that when I first heard about them a few years ago they described one of their main target audiences as “30+ yo women” it’s also kind of understandable at the same time ;D
Yeah I know about Adam Wolfe which I’m looking to get myself 1 day but it is a general female mc you get for most, I’ve personally only really liked the Artifex Mundi ones so far but continue to check them out and see if I can find another dev too. Also never knew that was their target, I’ve seemed to age alot of years then if its main audience is 30+ year old women
I also play these games and to match that criteria I would need to not only age, but also switch genders xD
I heard that many years ago when their still prioritized selling their games DRM Free on their own website, but I’m sure that now they are aware their demographic is not only that. Especially since their newest title and the upcoming one don’t look like any of their previous work ;)
