    TWEWY is one of my most favorite games of all time – may it even be on 1st place. And I waited sooo long to finally get another game! Well, it's no sequel sadly but I was hyped either way. There's no point in reviewing those things like story or characters as they of course are as good as in the original. But I'm glad they improved the battle system. I played on handheld mode (because on the big screen the controls were so Wii-ish and I hate these) and it's a lot smoother than it was with the first Remake for iOS.

    I can't give it a full heart rating because I'm still mad at the special episode “A New Day” and because the battle system with both characters on DS was far better and more difficult. It didn't bother me much tho – The Final Remix is still pretty neat and fun to play :3

    I trueeeely hope for a sequel. They teased us now long enough and I don't know about the sales but after two Remakes teasing one it should be time now already.

    If you haven't played TWEWY yet but have fun with RPGs you should try it out now! It truly is an awesome game and I can't recommend it more (but just don't play it on your phone if you have either a DS or a Switch).

    This one is a rhythm game which plays like Tetris. I love Tetris. But the thing with Tetris is that it requires skill and tactics. Akihabara only requires luck (and maybe a bit of skill too). And this was one of my problems I had while playing this game. See, you can never know which symbol comes next. You have to guess or simply being lucky.

    Next there was the campaign which only consists of playing all 10 songs in a row. You can't get over here and if you want to continue after losing you pay with your score, every time a bit more than the last time. It doesn't matter if you have that many score or if you don't – you could also win the campaign by not trying at all, smashing the arrow key or don't play at all as long as you hit continue every now and then. Where was the challenge? Why call it campaign if there's nothing to lose except of your time? It takes about 30 minutes to complete every song in a row but here was my last problem of Akihabara: You can't continue the campaign after closing it once. You can't pause and come back later – too bad you have to start over again. You can't accidentally click the wrong key – too bad, back to menu and start all over. You can't even check out the other symbols after losing or... yeah, you're back to the menu again. This happened to me far too often and it may be the cause why I couldn't even enjoy the game after figuring out how it works. The achievement of completing the campaign was obtained by 2.1% of all players – I guess that says it all.

    You – working for the government – are the new Big Brother when a terror attack occurs and the person responsible has to be found through a new system: Orwell. Orwell lets you discover everything. Searching through websites and finding new suspects, creating a network of people which expands quickly, spying on their desktop, on their phone or their timeline, gathering every information about them. And you have to decide which information may be relevant and therefore deciding which path the story will follow. Sounds cool? Heck, yeah!

    But imho the execution wasn't as good as it could've been. Every information you're able to upload to Orwell is already marked for you and you simply have to drag and drop them. Sometimes there are conflicts between those informations and you have to decide which one you should upload – but it doesn't really matter. You could dice if you wanted to. If you upload too much useless information the agent who's constantly talking to you isn't pleased, if you upload the right ones he always comes up with a smart line. And you could almost upload EVERYTHING. So I didn't feel like playing this game but rather watching it guiding me.

    The story though was clever and neat. You had to read a lot and even more but it was well thought-out.

    Bridge Constructor Portal

    Booooi that was fun! I'm a huge fan of Portal and now it brought me Bridge Constructor really close. It was really enjoyable and challenging! I loved how they used the elements of Portal to build levels and created really tough chambers making me think “Whaaaa?” at first but “Aaaah!” after :3 And it was even more fun when a friend tried to helped me out and we both were absolutely clueless x)

    The Walking Dead – Final Season

    Oh man, where to start... The Walking Dead may be one of my favorite franchises ever. I played the first season when it just came out and loved it and it still moves me when I think about it's ending. Right after that I played Wolf Among Us and decided that Telltale Games are one of the best companies I've ever had the chance to play their games. I don't care that their choices doesn't matter. Their games were about storytelling and gosh they did master that. Choices might don't change the story but they change your main character, they change your feelings towards them.

    TWD is all about ethics and morale in a dystopian world. It doesn't matter if the character you just saved dies anyways because that never was the point. The point is that you have to choose between their life and death. And you don't have the time to think that carefully over like in Life is Strange, you have to chose fast and then deal with your choice. And probably left you thinking “Could I have prevented that?” And that's what got me so hooked up with their games.

    So now let's talk about The Final Season. After the third season I almost thought that the franchise is dead for good. I was so bored with all five episodes because the only character that mattered anymore was Clementine. Yes, I know, new characters aren't bad or anything and sometimes you have to get over it but that's kind of hard if you know her for two other seasons and have to decide which character to help. There's no real choice anymore because it will be definitely her. So I truly thought “That's it. The Walking Dead is finally dead”. But then they released the Final Season and already halfway through the first episode it felt as good as the first season. Clem is an awesome character, we have seen going through tough shit and finally growing up. But not only that she is gorgeous, everything else was as good as it should've always been. Every character is likable, understandable. The relationship between her and AJ is outstanding like it was with her and Lee. The visuals are great, the story, the facial expressions, the cutscenes... They even added some kind of combat system which may wasn't complex or anything but I failed in some scenes several times in a row either way :^) There are collectibles and you even have the choice to date/flirt with some of the new characters (also with a female character and gosh they are so damn cute??). There wasn't action all the time, e.g. they play a card game for a pretty long time with only talking and it didn't bored me to death, it put more depth in Clementine and her past and I enjoyed that. They brought back a character from season 1 I really was surprised to see again and they mentioned Lee a lot of times. I still have those goosebumps over my skin.

    After hearing that Telltale is dead and the game probably won't ever get finished I was really mad. I wanted to ask for a refund and was furious about the way they treated not only their customers but their employees. Finally I decided to play the second episode however and every feeling I had in the first one was back just one minute later in the game. It's so well made, I just can't be mad anymore, I even don't want a refund anymore because I do not regret buying this. I'm glad there are at least two episodes I was able to play and yes, I'm sad. Like really really sad. But to stay positive; the next days I can think for myself how the story would have continued. And! Because we all know that Telltale likes drama (maybe even more than I do :^) I now have the chance to choose my own happy ending (seriously I don't think that Telltale would have had one in mind...). And maybe someday we'll get to know theirs. Until then I guess it's safe to set this one to beaten.

That Deku Link is amazing! I can only imagine how hard it must have been to make it. Both the Pikachu and the cat look good too. :)
A bit unrelated, but seeing that you own a Switch, I’d like to ask a few questions, if you don’t mind. I’ve been thinking about getting one as a xmas gift to myself, mostly to play Zelda:BotW and maybe Mario Odyssey. I heard that the battery runs out pretty fast, is it true? Also, any other must have games? Mario vs Rabbids looks fun.

I guess it depends on which game you play. A friend of mine says that his battery went low while playing BotW after about 2-3 hours; but I played TWEWY about 5 hours without having a problem. Octopath Traveler is also a nice game with many hours to play, haven’t finished it yet tho. But there also weren’t any battery issues.

Your Orwell review is by far the lowest I’ve seen, everyone seems to adore that game. Sorry it didn’t live up to the hype! Just curious, have you read 1984? I’d like to read that before I play, it’s already blasphemy that I haven’t yet. :P Just know what it’s about based on others talking about it/references in literature.

I watched a friend play about 40 minutes of Bridge Constructor Portal and was pleasantly surprised how well they incorporated Portal, with the jokes and voice acting and everything. Definitely gave the same feel-good vibes I get while playing the originals. :)

And I can totally see why! The idea and story is nice and very original. Maybe my expectations were too high? And I was far too annoyed by that agent…
No, but I have watched the movie in english class and we discussed it with some informations of the book - if that counts? It’s important to at least know what Big Brother is :’D

Yeah I totally understand, a big part of the reason I put off playing it was because of the hype and I really wasn’t sure if it’d be my kinda game or not. So figured I’d wait for all the positive reviews rolling in to dwindle a bit.
