I was... kind of lazy the last two months <w< Still haven't finished the Challenge of March and haven't played much in general. Instead I was on vacation in Tunisia and it was a great holiday! I miss the beach already ;w; I read a lot instead mostly because I had to know how GRRM wrote GoT better than the show and enjoyed the sun. But at least I started to hunt for some achievements because... why not? :v

    This game really is... special. In Wandersong you don't play as the hero but as a bard and instead of fighting with a sword you... don't fight at all but sing?

    I just love games where you feel the love that was put into and Wandersong definitely is one of them. It also is very creative; there was always something new without being “too much” but to put a smile on my face. And very detailed too! Like every conversation with any character was great, everyone had some kind of personality and if it only was the smallest side character. I really really did enjoy that.

    The story was great too. I feel like I just have finished a masterpiece b/c the game simply made me happy. The only pity is that there was never a challenge at all. You can't die and every puzzle is a piece of cake. I'd love a more challenging gameplay, even a tiny bit maybe because the game is just not about fighting or challenge at all. It's just my personal preference. But it was heartwarming and beautiful anyway. And one of the best indie games I've ever played.

    Cat Quest

    Usually I'm no achievement hunter but somehow a while ago I thought... why not? So I started Cat Quest with the urge to complete it. Cat Quest is rather short if you ignore all the quests but of those there are many! Over 62 to be done (but only 62 for the achievement) and then there are also 50+ dungeons, one of them with level 200. So it took a fair amount of time to explore every single bit in my first run. The story isn't quite amazing. Of course there are stupid plot twist but what bugs me the most is that the story isn't even finished but will be continued in CQ2 (what I probably want to play someday!). It's a classic rpg with spells, equipment and of course leveling but what I really liked was that there may not be that much different types of equipment but if you find one of the same type instead of having it double the thing gets level ups! But after finding the key for those golden chests and even further on after finding the most powerful weapon this kind of became worthless :v

    But now about the achievements. You see in german the achievements are called “Meistere die Pro-Runde mit xyz” so before playing the game I thought the “pro round” would be something like an arena with monsters after completing the game and I also thought 'yeah I can easily do that on lvl1'. But in english the pro-round is called “Mew Game” so that misunderstanding may have never occurred. :v

    So when I found out there is no arena and I have to play the whole game with modifiers four times again and one of those on level 1 I was so so so demotivated! But after a day putting it on hold I thought to myself 'I can't stop here, can I?'. The third run with three modifiers was the most time consuming one because it's only grinding grinding grinding. And even more grinding. Ignore all the quests, ignore the whole story until you're level 90. I hate grinding. But after some hours it was done. And then I finally got to the last run with Level 1. Which... somehow was the most fun one?

    You see, after each of those three replays you get a piece of an armor and you can equip these even if you're only level 1. So in the end the achievement that was the most demotivating one for me turned out to be the most powerful as I oneshotted everything. Ev-ery-thing. Heh.

Good to see that I’m not the only one disappointed by the show. I’m really hoping that George releases Winds of Winter asap and it’s nothing like that. A man can dream. >.<

All of my friends liked it. None of them are book readers, though… Might be the reason. It’s a shame he has no idea when WoW will be released. :/
Damn, that’s a lot! How many pokemon exist?
Btw, I do hope you post a picture when you finish the whole collection! I’d love to see that. :)

Hmm I dunno. I just started to read the books after season 8 and still didn’t like the last two seasons but I really thought a lot about theories and so on. But I admire those who were entertained with the ending <.<
Aw damn. I wish I had thought about a picture with all together sooner before I started gifting them away >D It may still take years anyway.
815 if I didn’t count wrong. But they said with the next generation there will be over 1000 shocked

It’s a shame you won’t be able to reunite them all for a pic, but I’m sure whoever received one of them really enjoyed it. :)

That part when Tyrion says “who has a better story than Bran the Broken” and his reply still make me mad. Everyone has a better story than that useless 3-eyes raven. Jon Snow and Arya were sitting right there… >.<

I’m currently at the third and really like it so far. It starts getting different already! But I hope I’ll finish Dance of Dragons when he just released Winds of Winter :’) I’d still bet on the heat death tho…

I really like Shadow of Mordor but as many times before (I started it for the third time from new?) I get too demotivated and I don’t know why. I’m almost finish with the second map. Do you know how much game time I have still left? For a bit more motivation?

I don’t know how far into Sea of Numen you are, but there is no third area if that’s any comfort. You go back to the first area for a final showdown. There are two pieces of worthwhile DLC, though. Both introduce a single short campaign.

Yes, Manny really grew to me but I so hate this gameplay <_< If it weren’t for the really great story I wouldn’t want to play it anymore.

I listened to an hour of the audiobook the other day & it just wasn’t the easiest to read without actually seeing the text, as it’s a lot of history. So I was gonna grab a physical copy when I can. I’m sure it’ll be great though, have yet to dislike a book by him. :) I heard that he meant to release it after Winds of Winter as there’s spoilers(?), but finally decided to release part 1 early and have part 2 for afterwards. Fingers crossed Winds is released sooner than later!!

You made those? :o Cute, I like that ‘Bongo cat’ one. Thanks for sharing your experience with Cat Quest, I had no idea the game was that grindy in terms of achievements. Maybe in the sequel that won’t be much of the focus or part of how to 100% the game.

I started playing Wandersong too a few days ago! I’m still in beginning (just finished the level where Bard travels in the ‘spirit world’(?) and woke up/met the Cat King and it’s been a good time so far. Agree with you about the characters being interesting thing. What you wrote about is nice, good to know it was a memorable game. :)

Btw, how long did it take you to finish the main story for it? Have you completed the achievements?

I hope you enjoy Wandersong! It’s really unique :) It took me about 10 hours without achievements. As they all are hidden I didn’t wanted to spoil myself with guides… But after completing the game you can jump to every scene and make those up so it shouldn’t take much more time. Wish every game had this feature =3=

Sorry for the late reply (just got home from the hospital), but thanks for answering back to me ~ Same here, I’m gonna try my 1st playtrhough without guides to enjoy the story and everything for the first time on my own. And also nice, I didn’t know that we can just select what areas to do to get certain achievements. Very handy

Lovely crochet!
I also beat Cat Quest a little while ago. I agree that the achievements were too grindy. It was the sort of game that was cute for a first play through, but on repeat playthroughs the limited gameplay loop wore a bit thin. But I was relieved that mew game didn’t require me to go on the long quest to get the water walking skill, and you can ignore most of the side quests, so it didn’t take so long to get through.

Totally agree! The much talking every three steps especially in the beginning was annoying too if you already had seen this a few times. But walking on water right at the start was a really nice thing for training on water too. Wish they had also give us the ability to fly without the side quest :D Have you also tried CQ2?
