Have you played Shadow of Mordor? Does the sequel measure up?
Yes I’ve played it. I enjoyed both games, Shadow of War is basically an improved and expanded version of Shadow of Mordor, the Nemesis sytem is deeper and there’s a lot more to do. The only downside is that it can sometimes feel a bit like a chore when you are building up your army to attack/defend a fortress.
Glad to hear that. I remember SoW got a lot of flak early on because of loot boxes, but they’ve taken that out since.
Yes, they also shortened the last act with the siege defenses drastically. I didn’t know and was bracing to grind through it, so it was a nice surprise to see the epilogue after 3 stages instead of 10 (and you can still do the others after that if you really want to)
What do you think of Apotheon?
Rather mixed, I found the combat weird and clunky. The other aspects of the game are decent, but since you spend a lot of time fighting, it wasn’t that fun to play overall
