For like 25 days of this month I simply just read fanfiction, but then I noticed that I was 8 games off from beating last years amount of games so I ended up doing a quick go through and got 11 more done. Then I brought the top 2 yuris there to read during the sale and finally spent the past few nights doing the coloring game.
Unfortunately my stats went from 47 to 48 while being gifted some games so it doesnt look really different but I think I got most of my last month obsessions out of me so I can just focus on bringing that back down again
My favourite game of the month goes to Double Date. Its a cute little yuri, you get to see the pov of the girls and the dogs. It will be interesting to see what these 2 are like in the murder mystery game

Yeah also had the week before that in November. Its kinda like when I listened to that 1 song for over 12 hours on loop, just became an obsession. Difference being is this one didn’t crack after 1 week

Fanfiction is the bane of our game backlogs 😂
Yeah it started off simply as some art work for one. Then after seeing it a few more times I thought okay lets read it. Well yeah after that I kept reading more and next thing I know I’ve read for over a month straight as this started in November. There was this picture going around which makes sense, reading fanfiction is easy you already know the characters, you are already excited going into it. New books though requires you having to open your heart to more characters and getting to know them. Requires a lot more effort

No judgement here - I consume 100k+ word fanfics constantly. Once you start you then kind of need to read everything in that fandom/tag, and then you find a different fandom/tag to follow…slippery slope!
Yeah I ended up going for like 20k+ and I may have like run out, I even reread the 1st one that got me into it. I think I’ll focus on my backlog for a bit let people write some more stuff then get back there. I did come across one I haven’t read where it had 2million words, split into 2 stories but still 1.4 (complete) and 600 (incomplete) like damn how is that even possible to think of
I know there is incomplete items but I just dont want to do that, I already have to rewatch shows and movies when a new season comes out, I dont think I could be rereading something 30+ times if it ends up massive
I did learn all about the omegaverse through fanfics, which is partly the reason for liptrip being done this month
Yeah I find I will read long incomplete fics just because I can’t resist it. Bookmark it, then I find I re-read most of it again maybe a year later and still have to wait. There is one fic I have re-read several times which finished a few months back I’ll eventually go back and finish. I tend to only reread the really good fics though. I never read chapter by chapter - I tried that when i first got into fan fiction decades ago and it killed me.
Once I run out of fics in a fandom, I go to another fandom and repeat that a few times until I cycle back to the other fandom and more has been written! Luckily I like a lot of popular ones so its not hard to find something.
I tend to avoid Omegaverse - I’m much more into the time travel/dimensional travel/political kind of fics. I hadn’t really seen much of Omegaverse outside of fic, but it makes sense to find VNs of it actually!
Yeah I assume there are more omegaverse vns out there but again I didn’t know about it until now. I mean I knew about liptrip earlier when it first released but I didn’t know the in and outs of it. Liptrip is fine but its short so you dont really explore much other then learning the mc and boss are fated mates and it ends right as it was gonna get good. It doesnt really explain any finer details apart from omegas not being treated well
Yeah I may or may not be failing at my no fanfiction for a while. I also gave a 2 unfinished ones a go just because, I didn’t intend to I just wanted to read the 1st chapter but it got addicting but its been over a year since an update so probably won’t be finished. The other one is newish and simply because I was curious to see where they were gonna go with it, plus its just an addiction at this point so I didn’t want to stop. Its 2 as I’m sending this message so I’m kinda forced to stop, plus that 1st unfinished story actually pushed my laughter to the to much point that my face hurts. I’m used to like serious or angsty stories so I didn’t expect to come across so many comedies

Yeah its back to school time now so I know I gotta get up in less then 6 hours and it takes a while for me to settle my brain no matter what time I try to sleep at so ahhh. Plus unlike vns I cant go through 60k words in an hour, I’m looking at the 2 hours. I always found it funny seeing ebi-hime put oh this is 60 this will take 2-4 hours but no turns out without the background your reading slows down. Maybe if grisaia didn’t have pictures it wouldn’t have been a 7 hour story, disguised as a 30 hour for everyone else, that disappointed me!
I had to open up to 10-20k as I was running out, I ignored them cuz I felt like its not enough but with how slow I am its actually not a bad amount. It doesnt drag on long enough for me to give up, but it also isn’t giving me the feeling of being to short that I normally find them to be
I got tricked into reading a sad story! Normally get a warning if a major character is gonna die at least, needs a warning everyone dies!
Well since you told me to keep reading I went even further. Today I got fanfiction inside a fanfiction. 2 for the price of 1. In fact its multiple inside the 1 geez

Yeah that one was a very interesting read. Even had one of them be the writer for one that kept popping up. For which they are actually making a real version off but that’s in progress. So yeah fanfiction being read inside of fanfiction. Being written by one of the girls and is being made into a real fanfiction
Geez thats alot and yesterday I realised its been 7 days since I played my game. I didn’t realise its been that long. This all started off because of a picture! Someone on reddit posted the artwork for one and then after seeing it mentioned a few times I was like lets check it out. It wasn’t a light hearted story based on the person being killed in the artwork but it was awesome. Then yeah now we are here 2 months later and I haven’t stopped. Maybe thursday after work I’ll do some more of my game because frankly idk when else its gonna be done with how obsessed I am with reading right now
God damn I only stick with 2 fandoms and they are colliding. At least the previous ones was in the same fandom, this is now fandom in fandom
