Since I was having so much fun with lists and I’m bored and procrastinating on productive thingys I decided to join the ABC plan. :P
Kinda cheated on picking most of them out of my To play list, but the more lists games are on the more likely I’ll play them right? (maybe) (I have problems plz halp. QAQ)
Rules
§ I can play other games.
§ In the event of disliking a game/finding it broken it may be switched out with a game of the same letter.
§ I will prioritize picking games from the list when doing monthly theme/other backlog killing events.
§ I will try to play the games in alphabetic order when I’m picking a new game without events tied to it. (but I doubt I’ll have the time since I join quite a lot of events)
§ This post will be updated as progress is made, but the reviews will come in the monthly updates.

You have a bunch of great games on here! Have fun with the challenge. :D

EvilBlackSheep

That’s a great list, good luck with your challenge!!

Abzu! Dishonored! Orwell! Prey! Transistor!
So many of my favourite games in that list, awesome! EvilBlackSheep really knows how to pick them. :) Enjoy!

ABZU will be an easy relaxing one
CSD will be tough! (mostly just because it’s longer than you might expect, but fun!)
Dishonored was great!
Grim Fandango is my all-time favorite game, but a small number of the puzzles can be pretty obtuse – don’t be afraid or ashamed to ask for help or a hint if you get stuck for too long.
I haven’t finished Hand of Fate yet, but really enjoyed it so far.
In Between is somber, but nice gameplay.
LIMBO is awesome! (imho)
You should play Santa’s Rampage with a friend probably – I didn’t, but it’s probably more fun that way.
XCOM is great, but I liked the very old original a lot, too.

Haven’t made an ABC list yet since I already had my “The 26” before I saw them, but I may do an ABC for my 26 next year – it’s fun to watch people’s progress through the alphabet. :)
(What is going on with that ABC picture?!… A is for Aonkey! B is for Bar! C is for Cicycle! :D)

Blue Ϟ Lightning

A is for Animal B is for bus and c is for car duh

Yep, I’m really forward to ABZU since I played Journey before on PS3 and quite liked it. :3 Although the scary section scared me so much as a kid. xD Glad there’s a drop in drop out system for that game since I’m only able to progress cuz some Japanese dude who knows his shit dropped in and I just kept following him to the end. :P
I really should play Dishonored. It’s one of my first ever bought games on Steam, yet I just never got around to it. I downloaded it once and played for like 5 minutes, and then dropped it. 0-0
I have heard some negative things about Grim Fandango, but I’m still hoping I’ll have a fun time. Probably gonna use a walkthrough guide to avoid myself from getting frustrated and quitting if it’s as what you said. Not that good with puzzles. >_<
I’ve actually played Santa’s Rampage ages ago on my friend’s laptop at school. It’s a pirated version tho, but I remembered enjoying it a lot since I’m kinda a completionist/collector type of person so I just tried my best to clean every tiny bit of blood, even ones in the corners and stuff. It’s a fun time. :D
Really not sure if I’ll like XCOM, cuz I played Mario vs Rabbits on switch, and it was kinda meh for me. I don’t dislike it, but I also don’t find myself particularly want to play it a lot.

Kinda just picked a random picture cuz everyone loves banners right? xP

Being a console-less peasant, I haven’t had the opportunity to play Journey, but I would be looking forward to it if I could, after playing ABZU. :)
Sounds like a familiar story about Dishonored – seems many people play for a bit, then drop it, only to return later and love it.
The strength of Grim Fandango is in its story, characters, art style, music, …aaand also many of it’s puzzles. Just… not all of its puzzles….
I never could manage the chair-stacking achievement in Santa’s Rampage… one of these days… I’ll go back and get that… (I got sooo close so many times!)
I had no idea the new Mario/Rabbids game had that sort of turn-based tactics gameplay in it! I watched a short bit of gameplay from the start of the game, and I think it’s very similar to XCOM, but definitely more cutesy, and… simpler? And there’s no running-around-the-world bits in XCOM. Another part of what made XCOM fun for me was that I named every one of my soldiers after an acquaintance in real-life and adjusted their appearance to match as best I could; made some of the decisions about how to equip and deploy them a little easier, too. Also… save often! (Oh, also, I just remembered that I played it without Enemy Within… I believe that DLC might have made the game a little harder, so consider that carefully before playing.)

And of course we love banners! :D Even if they’re a little nonsensical! …Especially if they’re a little nonsensical! :)

Good luck on the ABC project.
Yeah, CSD is a sneaky little game that drags you in and does not let go until you fully complete it… at least it did that for me and I ended up sinking WAY more time in it than I’ve anticipated… and loved every minute of that :) Another odd gem I’d recommend is Killer is Dead - a typical slasher with quite atypical setting.
Some of those games I’d dladly snatch for myself, so looking forward to your thoughts on them :)
