Pick which visual novel I should play next
Alright, this is a new challenge for myself. I will take only the first 5 requests.
Whoever is reading this message can pick one visual novel from this list for me to play next. It can be a VN of any length or quality. It doesn't matter if you have no experience with VNs, you're free to select any from the categories never played, unfinished, or beaten.

It depends on the lengths of the games chosen, but I hope to finish this list approximately by the end of November, so in two months time.
I’d say Root Double -Before Crime * After Days- Xtend Edition because it seems really interesting (I have it on my backlog too) but if it’s too long you can play Higurashi When They Cry Hou - Ch.1 Onikakushi instead. My GF is currently reading it and really loves it.
I’ll accept any length, so Root Double it is!

Higurashi is great(as is Umineko) but seeing as it’s only ep.1 I’ll ignore it for now and instead go with Memory’s Dogma CODE:01 which is on my own “hopefully-to-be-played-soon” list :P
Yeah, unfortunately for Higurashi I’ve still only got ep 1, I hope in a future bundle!
Oh, even if a bundle happens not all of them are on Steam yet. There’s 3 more to come to close off the Kai “part” and then there’s another 3 for the Rei part. And then there’s the other side parts like Kizuna and Matsuri. Great and quite disturbing VNs but damn! There are too many! xD
I liked playing Swordbreaker The Game, interesting game in my opinion. Little grindy if you are after all achievements. :)
I noticed that, hopefully I will be able to get them all since I’m aiming for 100%ing all my VNs
Art style is great, so going to all rooms and getting killed in every way can be fun :D But when i played it i wasn’t in a mood to 100% it, might do it one day :)
Hi, today I installed Swordbreaker to play it, but it starts in Russian and when I’m on the initial menu no control (keyboard or mouse) is working. Do you have any idea how to select things in the menu? I’ve read that other people had this issue but the devs were of no help in past threads >:(
If I’m not able to play it, could you please choose a different visual novel for me to play instead of this? The list is always here. Thank you!
Hmm, i didn’t have that problem. Intro was in Russian but in menu later it was easy to change language between Russian and English.
Checking games files if there is option to change config didn’t help, but reading community forums with broken English and Russian(studied it long ago so i can understand a little) pointed out that maybe resolution is the problems. Some say that 1024 x 768 is default resolution for the game and that there it should work ok with it, also i found this fix
And if nothing helps to get it working properly i don’t mind choosing different game :)
EDIT: Just checked your VN list again. How about Sound of Drop - fall into poison - if Swordbreaker is not working? I don’t have a game, but i heard plenty of nice and interesting things about it, and even tried to win it multiple times on SG :D

I don’t want to be a negative nathan, but Leviathan: the Last Day of the Decade, is abysmal. It’s one of the few VNs (and the ONLY one with achievements) that I just gave up on. The art is pretty, but the translation was so atrocious I just couldn’t… I couldn’t do it. Just go in prepared!
Highway Blossoms was cute as hell, though!

I’ll pick Leviathan: The Last Day of the Decade. I bought this game a while ago because it looked intriguing, but (like so many games), I haven’t played it yet. I also have never heard a first-hand opinion on it, that I can recall.
I have several honorable mentions I was choosing among, also… ;-)
I’ve been wanting to play this forever, and yet like you I hadn’t managed to make time for it before!
