How did you like Transistor? And what’s your feeling about the ending? I know some people didn’t like the ending, for me it hits quite deep, and the game is one of my favorites from Supergiant. :3
I overall liked the game, both the gameplay and the story. The ending caught me off-guard, though. I really didn’t see it coming. Mind that I don’t consider it a bad thing. Unless I feel that it’s something too stretched out (but it’s not the case here), I prefer this way. It was indeed a deep and impactful gesture. The ones who didn’t like it maybe just didn’t understand its meaning, I presume.
My only gripe with the game is that I encountered a game-breaking bug during my recursion run (the 2nd play-through). At some point into it, after I loaded my last save, the game started as if I was in combat. I couldn’t explore the map freely since I was confined inside a combat zone, but there were no monsters around. Since I felt stuck I decided to reload the game again. This second time I was no longer in combat and I was free to explore. The problem is: I couldn’t interact with anything, the prompt to activate a terminal or to progress to the next zone just wouldn’t pop up even if I got close to the exit door. So I’m stuck there with no possible way to move forward anytime I load the game. I searched online, looked for possible solutions, but nothing worked. I had to drop the game there, since I didn’t really want to restart a new game (I had no other save file available; but I wouldn’t care anymore at this point even if I had). Still, the 1st play-through was enjoyable. I managed not to get my opinion biased by that bug.
