  • This month was not easy outside (and coming month won’t be either), so i’m late. Next month i hope to finish Batman, or at least make a good progress.

Mostly completed or played - October 2025

  • Crown Gambit : 100% my goty 2025, ink based game with a lot of real choices and a good replayability, deep story and interesting gameplay
  • Ah ah ! Finally managed to beat Pharaoh + all the dlc ! It was fun but a loooong grind.

  • Karate Survivor - proof : From the communautary train 2025, you choose a serie of attacks and they auto-play from left to right. I was searching for a game like one finger death puch, this one is different but has a really good rythm, despite the grind i had a blast and it’s now my favorite SG win

October/November theme - こんにちは! Ça va?

  • Signs of the sojourner : finished twice, a really nice game. I really enjoyed playing cards like dominoes, not to win a cards duel but to try to find common ground with the NPC. However game is harsh, with far too many symbols compared to the limited number of cards in the deck, and a fatigue system that hides many cards. The watercolor effect, almost like stained glass, looks beautiful though.
  • Aotenjo beaten twice. It’s Balatro with mahjong (not real mahjong rules, it’s easiest and specific rules). So based on luck but you can alter the tiles. More sets and more difficulties, but i finally ended up beating standard blue (normal mode). Really fun and playable, despite the absence of story and the backgrounds monotony.

  • No sense of driving, even with the elevation changes, it feels like you are on flat ground. All the tracks are similar, as if sections had been copied and pasted.

Congrats for beating Pharaoh! I am still playing the old one, but I tend to get exhausted and then drop it for a few months. ^^ Need to get back to it again.

Crown Gambit looks really interesting. Nice job on completing it!

Good luck in a new month. ;)

Crown Gambit is really amazing, but with just 7000 copies sold it will end up quickly bundled probably.

Thank you very much about Pharaoh, i see absolutely why you feel like that ! :p
Didn’t play the original at that time, but i’ve read some players like or hate the remake for the lack of manual battles.
Have fun if you come back to it !

Signs of the Sojourner is one of my favorite games of all time. I agree with the fatigue system, I think it hits too hard too quickly, but I kind of like the number of symbols available - forces specialization. In forcing this specialization, it also forces a route, which opens very different questlines and experiences. The second playthrough likely will be veery different from the first and so on

coleypollockfilet

Understandable that’s a really nice game ! Though it’s quite hard to guess the new routes without a guide as there are few clues. On my 2nd run, i discovered a few things, but most of it was the same as the 1st time. However i liked a lot the graphic style.
If you like alternatives, multiple ways, you would like Ink based games : 80 days, heaven’s vault, crown gambit !

fernandopa

Ohhh interesting, my second playthrough was very different from my first, but I decided to take the opposite route early on, and switched my deck entirely from what I used the 1st time around. I guess it can be samey if you don’t force yourself off the first path. And yes, the graphics are super nice, they have so much charm :)

I’ve played a lot of 80 Days on my phone back in the day! Heaven’s Vault and Crown Gambit are both on the backlog, so expect a review sooner or later (probably later lol)

coleypollockfilet

That makes sense with a fully different deck ! Also this one had this cool watercolored stained glass effect !
Will be curious about your future reviews for both these gems ! :D

Congrats on the completions and overall progress!

Thank you slow but continuous ! :D
