It’s Monday ! ~ The Mirror Lied

Since it’s Monday and for once I’m not late or anything, I decided to offer you to participate to a little “let’s play” challenge, or rather to encourage you to play a game and to share your thoughts about said game. I’m kidding, I would have offered it even if it was Tuesday ,) !

    The Mirror Lied

    The Mirror Lied

    41 minutes playtime
    no achievements

The game is called “The Mirror Lied” and has been developed by “Freebird Games” which are also those who developed “To the Moon”, “Finding Paradise” and “A Bird Story”.
I’m reassuring you right away, “The Mirror Lied” is a free game that can be finished in around 30 minutes. There is really few text and the story happens in only one house which has a few rooms, it’s not an horror story and it’s mysterious.

What is “The Mirror Lied” about ?

We actually don’t know. There is no official explanation about the game and the story behind it, that’s why I’m offering you to participate to that little challenge which is to play the game (as many times as you wish) and to offer a theory about what is happening in the story.
For this purpose, I encourage you to NOT read any other theory or follow any kind guide which may or may not spoil you some part of the story or maybe someone’s theory. I’m reassuring you, the game is quite straight forward and you really cannot get lost.

What do I earn by posting a theory ?

If there are 5 people participating, I’ll make a small giveaway to celebrate :) !

Do you have your own theory ?

I do, I’ll share it with you next week or in two weeks depending on how many answers we got in there and also because it’s Holidays time and a lot of people will be with their family and won’t want to play a weird game without story. I may offer this event to another group though, the more the merrier right ?

There is a well known bug which causes the game to start then crash instantly, the developers have explained how to bypass the issue in case of need..

In any case, don’t force yourself to play if you don’t fancy it. Here is a let’s play without commentary if you don’t want to play the game but are still interested about it.

PS: “Midnight Mysteries” series is disappointing, I could only play the 2 firsts games, the 3 lasts run at 5FPS, it’s a well known bug and the developers don’t answer. Don’t buy those game if you have a recent computer. :|

to tired to look at this post properly but I already played that game
also no problem with midnight mysteries

Oh okay I never really get theories when it comes to games and when I do it just gets confirmed like hyperdimension 2. Plus its been a while since I played mirror lied to barely remember the game but it will be interesting to see if anyone does

Иιɢʜᴛᴍᴀᴢᴇ

I know it’s been almost two weeks, but how are you doing now ?

Cece09

Oh my, this totally passed under my radar. Did not know they have a game before To the Moon. :o Will play it and come back to you in a bit. x3

Edit: What. just. happened? 0-0 This game is bizarre. xD I like it tho. It gave me some chills. :P But tbh I have no idea what is happening at all. lol I think Leah worked with the Birdie in the end and killed the person emailing her? That’s my theory at least, if you can call it one. :3

Cece09

If its anything like their other games, this is just all in her head and she is crazy

86maylin

Well, I did search up some explanations and a popular theory is birdie is a sort of bird flu and Leah is tasked to analyze it and “kill” it by coming up with a medication, and the game is a metaphor for that. Though I don’t really like that explanation as it’s a bit boring

I’m glad I got you interested into something you missed, I like your theory :)
