I'm done with Faerie Solitaire Remastered!

At first I thought I'll go for 100% for SteamGifts monthly challenge, but then I realised I'm not that into the game. To get the remaning 4 achievements I need to play the game at least another 13~ hours (minimum) and maybe I'll do it, but probably not this month. Right now I'd rather get to other games so that I can feel much better when the next Steam sale is here. :P

I really don't remember when or why I bought this game. It was already on my account when I started using Steam actively, so it's possible it came from Humble Bundle, but I'm not sure. With most of my pre-2017 games I have this problem of not remembering the origins, lol. I wasn't actually going to play this, but when I first wanted to join Playing Appreciated, Mouse had suggested this game, and a week or so ago I remembered that suggestion. :D

It's a fun solitaire game, but don't quote me on that because it's the first solitaire game I've played for a very long while. It has non-solitaire mechanics as well, such as finding "eggs" and growing up various pets by collecting materials. I didn't get the two achievements related to this yet, because it takes really long to collect the materials. It has a challenge mode, which is pretty challenging in my opinion. I didn't get that achievement as well, because unlike the adventure mode, to get the challenge mode achievement you need to get all the starts in the challenge locations, and that's hard.

Not sure if I'll play the original version of the game, but it was pretty fun to play this. And because it doesn't require hours and hours of gameplay at one sitting, I could easily play it while resting or before/after studying!

Note: The game kept crashing at parts, and it got annoying after a while. But fortunately I didn't lose any progress.

It took me 30h to get the original completed. I found it much easier to complete that one since the drop rates seem to have been changed and therefore it does not take ages to get everything. Also as you said challenge mode is damn hard and even after 37 h I still miss 4 achievements here.

After I told you I won’t go for 100%, I thought I should maybe still try it, but nah. I’ll do it in time, but slowly! And in the meantime, I can focus on other games hehe. Also I think you should be able to get the Magical achievement, which requires you to buy all of the Faerie Land power ups. :D

Yes I can get that one no problem, if there were not the problem of me spending my money on redoing the challenges to finally get all. I am about 2/3 done.

Having the power-ups help with the challenges!! :D

I never played the Remastered, but I also didn’t bother to get those last two achievements in the original. I was happy enough to get my $1mil and completed all of the challenges. Enough is enough. :)

Enough is enough.

Definitely. Especially when the remaining achievements require endless hours of grinding the game. :P

I didn’t remember the game being that long! Just took a peek at my hours for the original and I had 47 hours. I was slightly afk watching streams during some of it so the time is a little skewed but 40 hours of solitaire is still a heck of a long time. Am interested in playing FreeCell Quest (another card game) as well but the 70 hours storymode is scaring me off. :P I’ve heard from multiple people that this remastered version was worse than the original, so if you do ever end up playing the first one will have to see what you thought in comparison!

Oh, I didn’t realise Remastered was worse! LOL. The only reason I played the Remastered version is because I thought, “This is newer, so it should be better. They didn’t remaster it to make it worse probably.” Haha.
