Fourth game beaten in november :)
It’s also the second that fits the monthly theme!

Not really a game, more of an interactive story based on an old novel with the same name, published in 1915.
By this I mean that 98% of what you do is reading. The rest is clicking to continue the reading or to choose what to read first. Sometimes you’ll even get to do some mouse gestures to progress but nothing more.

I’ve had some problems understanding everything ‘cause I’ve encountered what I think it could have been old english, scottish, and a couple of deutsch sentences.
Also, the subtitles were too fast from time to time but this could have been just a local issue.

Illustrations are quite well made and the story is rather good.

What I didn’t like were the “dead moments” between the scenes and the overall too-slow pace. Felt like I was wasting time :\
Don’t let my playtime fool you: I left the game open in background and read it throughout the day.
If you don’t care for artwork just go get a pdf, you’ll save time and money =P

@admins: First game I beaten for the theme was Elegy for a dead world.
You said we only need to set games as beaten/completed and the rank will get updates automatically but this data of mine never appeared on rank.
Do you have something to fill it for you or do you update it manually?

There’s currently a problem with some games that makes the script ignore them, but mandrill was going to take a look at it. I’ll look more into it closer to the end of the month, don’t worry about it. :)

Oh, ok :)
I wanted to warn you in case you didn’t notice :)

It’s appearing now, but it’s not adding to your score because you didn’t get any achievements in it. I see now that it doesn’t have any achievements for beating the game, so I’ll have to add it manually later.

Looks like The 39 Steps is easily going to be the most played theme game this month. I’m not saying like that’s a bad thing, it’s a well-produced novel game. :)
