Ninglors Log 120

This one suprised me. I didn't have that high expectations, considering I didn't really like the looks of the game. But since I had it and all that, I gave it a try. And it was nice enough. It might have taken my WAY longer than it should, but that's mostly bc I had no clue how often you have to look at the Void, so I clicked and clicked and clicked some more. So it took forever.
Apart from that, I liked the story. It's about mind reading, about lying and deceiving, about trust and distrust. And it rly is not as bad as it looks - I was totally into some of the romance pics. Plus if you know how regularly you have to look into thoughts, this becomes way quicker to play :D
Recommendation? Sure, y not?

I might have been like the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland: I don't have time! I gotta hurry! Can't klick pause! Can't go on the loo! Gotta do this! Is this stupid? Yes! I hate it! I hate being under pressure by a game! I hate not being able to take my time! Did I use a guide to not miss any missable thing? YES! Do it hate that? YES!
Did I like the game? Well, yes! I enjoyed the story - although it took me FOREVER to figure out who we are supposedly the reincarnation from. Bc for some reason it took ages before said figure was mentioned in the story - or I was just stupid and didn't figure it out. Also: How can this woman constantly fall down from heights and not be broken? AND how can she swim with her fingers spread like that? (This might be a thing that sits real bad with me, bc I used to swim as a kid with my fingers spread and it took ppl ages to realizes and make me change it. I sometimes still do it…) But man, this woman is though! Instead of breaking down after having her daughter stolen and having first lost her husband only to have him badly injured and uh, yeah. So instead of breaking down, she just keeps going. Not to mention her physical strength. Yeah. This.
I still didn't figure out though, if she worked against herself in the end, but I guess she might have. thinking
Anyways. Even after complaining a lot: I liked it! The HOGs where nice, the puzzles enjoyable, soooo for what else could I possible ask? :)
Recommendation? Yes.

What can I say? Way too much clueless running around for my liking! Going back and forth only to realize I went to the wrong place and just don't know where I am supposed to be. So that's pretty annoying. Plus the game never explained the minigames. Basically learning by doing. Which can be fine I guess, but ugh, also SO annoying. So yeah, more annoying here.
I encountered this very rare thing in a HOG though: Had a bottle right from the start and kept it till the end! I mean! THIS IS SO UNUSUAL! O.O Also I needed it. Didn't just keep it for funs sake. Why I can't use a hammer to break glass I'll probably never understand :]
Recommendation? Kinda, yeah. I've your prepared for wild running around :D

Mhm. This felt too easy somehow? I don't know how to properly explain it, but it was just way too quick. Maybe it was just too short? Also I'm super irritated how this is the second game in a row with kids being kidnapped and though Mums rescuing them. Coincidence, I know, but still, funny.
So we have a curse and two kingdoms in a feud. But at the same time connected. One is full of magic and in the other one magic is forbidden - but the leader is using magic? Right, that's pretty hypocritical. Also, man, there is just about a spell for everything! If you can come across a scroll with it. If not you are just some random person, who can't use magic at all. So I guess magic is in the end just some invention and not some talent. Therefore it's also super easy to ban it. Bc just don't make new ones and that's it.
I completely missed ONE collectable the first time round though! shock So I restarted. Luckily it was not in the LAST scene. But somewhere half way through. Also I kinda think my brain is still totally in tune with memorising shit. HOS are always super fast if I replay a game. I like this. I need somebody to play memory with and feel awesome :D
Recommendation? It's an Artifex, so what can I say? Play it. Although yeah, didn't get that much stars this time hide

Ok, can I just say how disappointed I am at this point? I just now played two AM HOGs and… they where not good. Especially Demon Hunter 4 was… well, bad. Let's just face it.
It starts off decent enough… until the MC starts talking and you just cringe, bc the voiceover IS SO FUCKING BAD! You can literally hear the micro pop while she's speaking. Wtf, AM? Since when do you fail so hard? Never had this before. I mean, it's practically famous for the one Lady speaking everything. Where is she? What did you do to her? Why didn't she speak this? What happened?!?
Also: NEVER EVER SET YOUR GAME TO CUSTOM DIFFICULTY! At least I think that might have been the reason for the failing? Ok, maybe I get that the game can't work out I'm collecting every collectable - yay to having again something indicating if there is still something to find - but… the moment I finish the game, I should have ALL story related achievements, right? It just doesn't make sense, to NOT have them.
Only reason why this game got two stars and not only one: I love Egypt and Archaeology. So yeah. I'm a sucker.
Recommendation? Eh…

Thank god, this is a good one again! No weird mirco popping, no buggy, no nothing!
Honestly right now I'm just so happy about this, I don't even know what else to say!
I'm not that familiar with the nordic legends (shame on me, I knoooooow, but I think I was like… 9 when we had this in school and our teacher was not that familiar with the whole thing. And for some reason I'm pretty sure that the Marvel view on the whole thing is like… maybe not 100% correct? :D ) So I just can't say that much about the story and how accurate this is or isn't. Just one thing: The Dude we have to save: How did he instantly fix his glasses, the moment we did save him (sry for spoiler I guess. But wait. It's a HOG, that's just how things work out!)? Like one moment he looks totally frosted over and has broken glasses and once the bars are up, he looks healthy and his glasses are fixed. I might be paranoid, but how can we be sure it's not Loki in disguise?
Recommendation? Yes

Well this was another easygoing, nice HOG. With lots of magic, ridiculous requests and suspicious characters.
Can I just mention, how annoyed I am, that the "hero" will be the new king… and WE HAD TO SAVE THE HERO THIS WHOLE GAME? Why can't there be a queen? What's this?!?

Let's make this a quick one, bc it's the "Oh God, I need to go to bed"-time!
Way too much running around all over the place for my liking - just imagine you ARE the kid in this story and rly run around one night doing all the stuff. I guess this would never work out. So yeah, too much random running around. Also, who goes swimming in the middle of the night? Apparently we do!
HOGs and Puzzles where decent enough. Although I couldn't figure out the key puzzle. I guess there where hints, but it just didn't make any sense to me o.o
I really liked the fact how we befriended both a cat and a dog in the game and in the end they came to our rescue! Yay to that!
Recommendation? Yeah, sure, why not?
