Finished the first season of The Walking Dead!

    20 hours playtime

    48 of 48 achievements

I had watched a full playthrough of this game before on Youtube, but that was 4 years ago when it first came out and I didn’t remember many details of it, so it was a good time to play it myself now. Especially since I’m also a massive fan of the comics and TV show and the new season just started as well. This is definitely one of the best and most emotional games I’ve ever played. I’m gonna start Season 2 now and hope I will get through by the time they release Episode 1 of Season 3 (which apparently will be this month? Yay!).

I also played a lot of Prison Architect this month. I got it almost a year ago and really wanted to get into it, but the tutorial wasn’t finished at the time and the learning curve felt way too steep. I didn’t have enough patience for it back then. The tutorial levels have improved since then, I still needed a lot of help from online guides but once I understood the basics it became really addictive. Those achievements are hard to get, though. D:

And last but not least I bought a Humble Monthly for the first time, mainly for Stardew Valley. It always seemed like a game I would enjoy but unfortunately I’m quite bored with it after 2 hours. I hope the rest of the bundle will be good.

The Walking Dead was the first game I managed to 100% complete and I hope one day to go back and play through it again with different options! I hope you enjoy S2 just as much!! :D

Unfortunately I had to cheat to get 100% because I made a “wrong” choice in 400 Days. I was only missing the Reunited achievement and it bothered me so much that I went back after I finished it. :P

Lorna

Oh yeah that would bother me so much! The only achievement that gave me a headache was Two out of Three as I had no luck when it came to guessing correctly and it took me so many tries that I lost count!

I’m having problems with the Prison Architect tutorial, it was more fun before :P (soooo many new features since I last played, and bugggggs XD).
And I’d say stick with Stardew/give it another chance. I only really got into it after about 10 hours (and now I don’t have time to play anymore :( )

violace

Aww I’m sorry you feel like it’s less fun now. The tutorial could still be a LOT better, the difficulty ramps up too quickly imo. Luckily I haven’t experienced any bugs yet though!
Definitely gonna give Stardew another chance. It seems like a great palate cleanser after all the noise and violence that is present in most games these days, so I really want to like it.

The Walking Dead S1 is one of those games that I’d love to be able to play again for the first time.

violace

Give it a few years, maybe you’re like me and will forget enough of it so that it feels like a fresh experience :) The added bonus is that it seems to run a lot better now on modern hardware - I remember that was a big complaint people had back then.

uguleley

Yeah, it would be nice to replay it after a really long break. :) But I’m sure I won’t forget the impact of its ending, even if I waited for a few years.

Well I finished the very same games a while ago and I love them so much. I want to get the 400 days dlc and I should put some effort finding copy of The walking dead season 2.

violace

I enjoyed the DLC very much, and loved that it has some achievements that are a bit harder to get than the ones in the main game. There was a Telltale humble bundle a couple months ago, maybe you’ll get lucky and they’ll repeat it some day :)
(Love your name, btw. He is my favourite assassin <3)

miroe250

Omg it finally happends someone finally likes my name. Every single person who recognise it say it’s dumb name. Thank you so much :)

Was anything lost playing The Walking Dead after watching a playthrough? It seems like a game best gone into blind. :s

violace

Omg, I missed the notification for this message. I definitely regret not having played it blind, even though 3 years had passed since I watched it and playing it yourself is a new experience, but I still remembered the big plot points. I’m very very excited that I’m getting a new chance to play a TWD game un-spoiled soon with season 3. :D
