Note: Due to an increase in challengers the update cycle (for completion progress) is decreased to around a month.
You can still ask to be added to the masterplan but it may take longer to see your progress be updated.
The ABC plan is a somewhat viral movement thats sweeping part of the BLEAO community.
currently the only requirement to join is setting up a plan that consists of a list containing a game for each letter in the alphabet (give or take a few letters depending on if you are missing them or not)
Rules
There arn't any rules other than those you impose on yourself.At the end of the day this is your plan.
That being said a few of the popular rules people have imposed on thireselves are:
- They can play other games at the same time-from wins or challenges
- Games have to be played in order alphabetically
- In the event of diliking a game/finding it broken it may be switched out with a game of the same letter
- Hope to finish this list by the end of the year.
How do I join?
Simply make an ABC plan and post an update about what you plan on doing/what any rules you are planning on useing areOR reply to this post with the list you have made and specify that you wish it to be added

I’d love to join but I’m facing the same problem than Last.M with not having an unplayed game for certain letters (for now Y). So I’ll be glad to take whatever suggestion you have if there’s a way I can still join the challenge :/

I checked your list after I commented and I realized you skipped what you couldn’t fill, so I did the same (turned out to be only Y anyway, and I picked one for the numbers so I have 26 games). Here’s my list for now, and I’ll made a post this afternoon with the rules and such. Thanks again for starting the challenge, it was a neat idea :)

This is a very good idea! I may join this. To anyone that is missing games starting with some letters, I don’t see any problem with skipping those letters!
I will join this too, fantastic plan! I will use the already installed games I haven’t started yet to not clutter things too much. For the missing letters, I’d suggest taking another game from an adjacent letter (Z or X for missing Y, for example), or just playing 1-2 games less. I will prepare the list later, thank you for this idea :D.
It’s done, but I don’t know how to post the list here. I have changed letter Q for a numbered game to keep the list of 26 games. I might not tackle the games in alphabetical order always, since it depends on several things, but I will try.

I wish all the best of luck to everyone! I don’t think I’ll join in - the plan is simply too big and too rigid for my tastes. A Challenge Me! batch is much smaller and easily manageable for me.

I’ve thought about this masterlist of ABC plans and you said that you were thinking of updating it everytime you saw someones update post… but it could become too much work for one person, especially since there is no ending date and it could go on for months… why don’t we decide to write ourselves here (or on a new dedicated post) our updates of completed games every X days? So that the masterlist could get updated only once in a while and not constantly?
edit: also, I think that a good idea would be to have only 1 comment per person (in a dedicated post) that is going to be edited and updated at need, so that we’re not gonna spam you with notifications
that would certainly be easier for me-if I didn’t hink it might be too much work for people id say they could try formatting it like this

It turned out that I don’t have any game for as many as 6 letters of the alphabet, so I just left them blank for now and hope to get something before I get there. The first one - “Alice’s Patchwork” is marked as “unfinished” and has some achievements, but I haven’t really played it much and I lost all the progess when my old computer broke. I think it’s ok to include it since I’ll be starting over anyway.
I’ll be starting this challenge as soon as I finish two of my previous SteamGifts wins that I’ve been postponing for 2 weeks due to quite busy season at work. Would you like a comment here when I finish some game or do you prefer to check it yourself according to the list?

Im thinking of switching Etherium, these long skirmishes would take ages for me to beat, as im not good at it.
The game does have minor problems, one of the tutorials crashes the game, and for the life of me a see no option to save state, but mostly it’s just because i want to finish this list in a near future

Swapped Grim Dawn out for Gray Matter (not to G yet, but I forgot that I was missing the new DLC for Grim Dawn and that would have just driven me crazy, I’ll switch it back if I get the DLC by then)!

May I join? :) I’ve created a list of my own. Ended up with 21 titles, as I had nothing on letters J, U, X, Y, Z. I’ve decided not to substitute for now, though if I get something that fits, I’ll fill the blank.
I’ve chosen a game I’m looking forward to playing the most of each letter. As most belong to RPG genre (which means they are probably quite long), I’m setting my deadline to the end of the year.
Planning to at least beat each title, completing wherever possible. Contrary to my usual way of dealing with my backlog games, I’ll accept ‘won’t play’ only if faced with some real technical difficulty (game-breaking bug, losing save data from the last 30 hours etc). In this case, the game will be switched out.
Games will be played in order, but with other titles from my backlog in between (or in parallel)
