HAPPY NEW YEAR! social distance party
I hope you all were able to start the new year successfully and with a pleasant, optimistic feeling despite last year being such a mess :’) Surely 2020 still offered some positive things that happened? So, what happened that you were glad of? I’m really glad that I was able to recover old friendships, my former best friend became my best friend again and we did some pretty awesome things, held a lot of board game nights together, I teached her how to crochet and we crafted side by side :) Also I’m glad for new friends and that they sticked with me into the new year and supported me ^_^ Despite Covid I never had the feeling of being alone only thanks to all those awesome people I met :’)

      Beautiful game. Lovingly animated, beautiful designed and with an unique story idea. When looking it up it sounds very, very sad. It's not. I mean, releasing the spirits through the Everdoor and speaking your final goodbyes definitely is a sad part of the game but it takes time to get there and the rest of the game is more relaxing and calm. It's meant for leaning back and enjoying your time.

      When I started the game up I thought that this can become my new favorite game of all time. Sadly it didn't bc imho it had a lot of flaws which harmed my experience with it. Most of all it was because of the lack of information given to the player. The characters all were remarkable but the game itself won't tell you how they died, what did they do for a living. Although these stories exist, not ingame but in the digital artbook you can buy separately. :') Tbh the game would have a far deeper meaning if these were included and in fact I even got mad when I heard about that and had to look up their lives myself. Also the order of introduced characters was a bit odd. The game starts with the best characters and ends with the least likable ones. So it ended not with a sad feeling to let them go but instead with a glad one to finally getting rid of them :') And that's a shame! It really had the potential to be one of the best games ever made.

      It's still a great game and one of the best ones from 2020 I've played! I regret nothing :^) Recommended? Highly.

      Poi is about two siblings, orphans, who decide to become adventurers. Apparently for one to be one, one has to collect medals of different worlds. So no real story was found, but the gameplay, as simple as it was, made the game shine. Jumping, running, climbing was much fun, as was finding hidden locations or collectibles and solving challenges. Personally I could've missed the enemies which are defeated by jumping on them as the controls are still somewhat clunky and not very precise. Also imo the game didn't need any increased difficulty that justify the enemies. However, the boss fights were a nice addition.

      Was slightly annoyed with the ending vibes. Only one last object. One last world. One last challenge. One last boss fight. So after I enjoyed pretty much the whole game, after all of these 'one last' I kind of was relieved when the game finally was over :d But overall it was an enjoyable time that was spent on playing it.

I’ve never watched pokemon my knowledge comes from a pokemon bot on discord. The other 2 people with me was snatching it up so fast where I was there being like google help! Best chance to get things if I don’t recognise them wait for them to mess about when it goes to double letters. As soon as something like LL appeared or even just the 1 they kept messing up on the right spelling

For temtem yeah I never touched the thing or seen anyone play it. It does look really nice though

Ooh I know the bot and know exactly what you’re talking about! Not that I don’t recognize them, but most often have no idea how they’re called in english so google -> helper in need :d and they’re all so weirdly written indeed. must be hard to google them without even knowing another name but to describe their looks :d

yeah it became a great friendship with those 2 group members. trading extras we had and what not. luckily I could move the picture into google images but it wasn’t always perfect because they either just didn’t pop up with a name or they will given one of the other evolutions. As someone who doesn’t recognise any it made it impossible to catch if the others were doing it

I agree with you on Spiritfarer - I found I really liked the first few characters, then the last ones annoyed me so much! The story lines were good, once I looked them up. Would have been good to have that information more obvious in game however.

True! The story overall is a very good one, if one gets to know it eventually. Only looked it up bc I thought I missed something, that I didn’t understand it perhaps so that could’ve been handled better. Beautiful game still ♥ who knows, maybe they’ll change some things like the appearance of the characters in future updates

I agree with you on the Spiritfarer way to introduce the backstory of the characters, it’s not the most clear. There are pieces here and there when you talk to them and do missions but it’s not as clear as the devs had it in mind I think. I loved the game tho, it was really chill and beautiful.

I’m curious about Smile for me, I’ll try to get a key for it since it was in a humble monthly, and I’ll also look into End roll since it’s your favourite game of the year.
