  • Here i close december already as not much time with the incoming festivities. This was a good year with 95 games beaten (not a completionist, i prefer to have a chance to try as much of my backlog as possible).
Let’s sail to next year ! Merry Christmas to you all 🎄 and happy new year ! 🥳 wish you a lot of fresh gaming experiences, a lot of fun and discoveries !

  • Puzzleforge was a really nice alternative to Triple Town, not exactly the same but interesting too, will probably play it again for fun occasionally

  • Batman : Arkham Origins - proof : (part of review that i wrote to the gifter) I’ve been very surprised by the game. A really good one, much better than expected, mix of stealth that i like a lot like SplinterCell, and beat-em-all really difficult for me, as it’s basically rythm phases pushing buttons really quick with… my foot (from a disability). It was still extremely fun ! In fact i forgot the time. The story and characters were truely really dark but that was an extremely good story. Frightening but really great. Strangely, probably the most similar game to beloved Watch_Dogs 1 : justice, stealth, hacking, semi-open world, even the “Ubisoft-like towers” that we have to turn on as checkpoints. Though i almost gave up multiple times, fighting extremely strong boss. Then the game was an almost Nioh, and i was like WTF.
In the end i finished the main scenario, and most of the secondary missions : anarky, penguin, deadshot, mad hatter, bird, shiva, black mask. Just remains a loooot of fedex : Enigma and escaped prisoners.
Last surprise, the game was very Christmas-themed with a lot of christmas trees and decorations. Funny as Christmas comes really soon.

Nice impressions on Batman. I’m playing Arkham Asylum right now and having an absolute blast, it’s a great game. Looking forward to playing the other games in the franchise!

coleypollockfilet

Thank you ! I’ve Asylum and City in backlog too but will wait a while, as this one was pretty scary, and a friend told me that the others are even more !
But you’re right they are really extremely well made !

Happy holidays and happy new year !

fernandopa

Happy holidays as well! I started with Asylum because it was the first to be released hehe it is dark, but I haven’t found it scary so far. Excited to see your impressions once you get to it :)

Mortvie

ooh interesting, starting the Batman Arkham series with Origins (it’s kind of the one outside the trilogy) 🤔 might be a little harder to go back in time to Asylum due to the older mechanics, though it’s also definitely worth sticking through!

coleypollockfilet

Oh i forgot there was one more Batman game (Arkham knight), you played all the Batman ? Is there one that you prefered ? :D
And happy holidays + happy new year !
