Wow! I’m impressed to see your progress broken down by weeks. How does it feel? Does it help your sense of constant progress?

OC/DC

I also saw that and wondered if it would help my own process. I’m interested to see their answer

Funny you mention it because after 6 years of doing it by week (and not missing a single week in all those years), I am now considering switching to doing it monthly. But I would need to rewrite the script that generates 95% of the post for me so I haven’t bothered making the switch yet.

But basically it worked for me, when I had more time in life, but as it is right now its just adding pressure onto me that I really dont need to get at least one game done so I can write a post (not that anyone expects it or cares at all, its unreasonable pressure from myself). And it never really felt like a sense of constant progress, more of a kick in my butt to get something done lol.

Very interesting answer. Thanks! Makes perfect sense, that it might more or less useful depending on your available time and circumstances. That’s why I asked: For myself, right now, it seemed like it would put more work and upkeep for what is, really, very little progress I get to do on a week.

Was also very inspiring to hear that you made a script to automatize the creation of your reports. Another thing I haven’t gotten around to (which is natural, after only a handful of months in the group) but that I should start thinking about if I plan to keep this going in the long run.

Congrats on the assassination, both this month, and throughout the years. Keep it on!

MouseWithBeer

No problem. Yea if you don’t do a whole lot of progress each week I am not sure it is worth it at all. But definitely circumstances dependent.

Yea, a script has been a life saver for me, makes the post creation time go down 95%. Definitely well worth the time investment of the couple of hours I put in it.

Thank you!

Zelrune

Congratulations on your assassinations! Any plans for spooktober?

MouseWithBeer

Thank you! I am afraid I don’t do spooktober at all, on the contrary I am playing 2 cute games right now. Do you got any plans?

Zelrune

A few! Nothing too spooky, but Wytchwood, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, ENIGMA:, and My Time at Sandrock. I’m likely going to try and slip in Ori Will of the wisps, in September I finished the definitive edition and I liked it significantly more than I thought I would.

MouseWithBeer

I hope you enjoy them and good luck! I cant comment on the rest but My Time at Sandrock was a good time for me.

Yekhus

This question actually prompted me to look spooktober up and join with some spooky candidates of my own. Might be my first event here on the group, if I don’t chicken out and I manage to actually follow through with playing some of them.

MouseWithBeer

I know I am very late at responding here, but I think you replied to the wrong person. I assume this was for Zelrune.

However good luck with it!

Yekhus

Yes, you’re absolutely right: I clumsily replied to the wrong person. But with useful feedback like this, I’ll get better at using the site with experience. Thanks!

MouseWithBeer

It can easily happen to mess up on something like that :) No problem, if you need help with anything regarding to the site feel free to let me know :)

Yekhus

Thank you! That’s very kind and welcoming of you. I will :)
By the way, I remember very clearly your name from back when I joined the Playing Appreciated group, because you were also outstandingly nice and welcoming.
