Backlog Assassination : April 2021

This month has been a weird one and beside the 15mn wedding / annulation / wedding application validated, I can’t say a lot of positive things happened and it’s hard to even write an introduction to that month which doesn’t sound depressing. While I don’t want to enter into details, I would like to share a message to anybody who would need it.

You are valid and you are loved. There are days which aren’t the best and if you’re thinking that it’s just one more adding to your pile of nasty things, please try to talk to someone who can help you. The pandemic put us all in a weird mental space as we have to limit our activities, which in turn makes us feel like we’re not connecting to people anymore as we cannot see each other the way we did a year and a half ago. Still, there are people who care for you and who are certainly there to hear you out if you feel like you reached a low point. If you feel isolated or like there is nothing more here for yourself, don’t hesitate to contact a hotline and seek help.

A SMALL OFFER

Since it’s a place where we speak about games more than mental health, I would like to make an offer.
If you feel like you want to scream anonymously into the void, then I encourage you to try a game called “Kind Words” and will give away a few keys for that game if you’re struggling and cannot afford to buy it.
This is a small thing, but if it helps you even just a little, I believe it’s important to give you the possibility to express yourself in a safe place where you can receive support as well as supporting others.

Best Of This Month

  • Cozy Grove : One of my dear friend gifted it to me while I was struggling to decide if I wanted to buy it right now or later. This is such a cute and cozy game, amazing to relax while doing little tasks around the area which sometimes gives you an HOG vibe.

It’s finally May, and as say the idiom “in May, do what you want” so I’m going to take more time for myself and enjoy the fact that we’re at the 4th floor which allow us to have an easy access to the sun and see the mountains in the background while we’re in the middle of a town.

Think of giving yourself a priority as well, some time just for your self-care and don’t forget to contact me if you’re in need of a safe place to speak, as I said, I’ll give away a few keys for “Kind Words” if you cannot afford to buy the game and need a place where you’ll be able to anonymously speak of your current struggles and receive support as well as being able to support others if you have the energy for it.
