May’s Stats

aka. The status is more or less quo

Hello hello fellow assassins! I hope you’re all doing well and that May has been nice with all of you. On my part, I managed to make progress on the 20/22 challenge (but haven’t caught up the one behind the schedule from last month), played quite a lot of things and managed to revive an addiction AND create a new one, both thanks to a certain anonymous octopus that I suspect is trying to sabotage my 20/22 progress. :glares:

Other than that, I at least managed to keep the balance neutral despite a lot of unplanned additions to the backlog. Let’s see how it goes in June when I’ll be away half of the month. Til next report, stay safe, have fun and keep gaming!

thanks to a certain anonymous octopus that I suspect is trying to sabotage my 20/22 progress.

wtf why would anyone try to do such a thing.

you know why, actually :grumpy

EvilBlackSheep

because you’re trying to drag me down in your fall, that is why.

Skatrzoo

wrong :grumpy

We both know that vampire survivors is what started this war, and you shot first :glares:

Just wanted to say two things
1) I’m very impressed by the code of your post - a lot to learn for a newcomer.
2) I’m very impressed by your attitude and purposefulness in terms of gaming.

EvilBlackSheep

Well thank you very much. And welcome to the struggle

Congratulations on your assassinations! Oaken looks fun, what is your opinion on the 3 hours you played it? I’m not super fond of tactical games but the art style looks cute!

EvilBlackSheep

Thank you :)

Well I’m struggling a little to give a completely positive review of Oaken (and especially if you don’t like tactics). It’s very pretty but it gives deceptively high expectations of what the content is because of that. It’s still EA so not all of the content is there, it is still buggy and eh… idk I got somewhat a little bored with it because of the lack of diversity but it’s mostly me I guess. That being said, I love both deckbuilding roguelikes AND turn based tactics. If you don’t like the later you might not enjoy the game at all.

Actually… You know what, there is a demo on the steam page. You should try to see what you think of the gameplay. If you like the gameplay then it depends if you want a lot of diversity, better wait but if you’re fine with one hero + 4 “variations” on it (depending on the secondary character you pick as your guide) then I guess it is ok. On my end, I’ll wait for full release to give it another go.

This month I’m not on the sheep’s bad book, and we all know what happens to people on there :swea
