It’s been forever, let’s see if I can still do this! To lazy to google all the pretty banners, though.

Randomly picked up my 3DS and this cartridge was still inside… Had like 2-3 cases to go, and it’’s reminded me how much I love these layton games! I love the puzzles, the humor, the atmosphere…

Definitely worth playing.

Well, what can I say… I liked the original Fable and Fable 2 (3 was kinda a letdown for me.)
I’ve bought (And sold) the 360 version and picked this one up on steam a couple of years ago.

A few weeks I was looking for something not to complicated to play and randomly installed Fable. Of course had to start with a new save because I completely forgot all the controls (Story of my life… Same reason I’ve got a new Shadow of Mordor save. Wanted to miss around but forgot the controls etc.)

6/10. Not sure if it’s due to nostalgia and having grown up, or the new graphics being not as cartoony as I seem to recall but… It’s a decent game, but sometimes a bit slow and meh.

At least now I can scratch it off my backlog!

I wasn’t a big fan of the original fable, most likely because I didn’t play it. 3 is my favourite, as a kid and even now I found it the most simple to play through and I liked that I wasn’t forced into a certain look later on like the other 2 games do. I played 2 alot but I never got to finish it, I got stuck right near the end and it was in a time where I had no access to the internet to even search up what I was suppose to do so I never picked it up for a 2nd time or even 3rd like I did with the 3rd game. I agree with the fact it felt slow, I got to a point where I couldn’t handle it anymore. I brought all the healing I could and just brute forced my self through the ending despite being painfully weak.

Funny, I think Fable 3 is my least favourite because it felt more like being forced into a certain direction compared to the freedom I remember from 2, but then again, it’s been over 5 years since I’ve played them…

I do fondly remember in both games taking advantage of the rent, buying all the houses and idling whenever I needed more money. Guess that was also kinda cheating in 3 to avoid certain consequences.

I pretty much did the same for the original ending… WAY to weak weapons but I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Oh i tried so hard to get the money up at the end. I brought everything and I waited so long but god damn if you want to keep all your promises you will never have enough years in your life to get the money up to buy an army

I left the 360 on overnight a couple of times :’)

It worked, but it took away the moral/hard choice

I used to love the Layton games, too! Nostalgia time :D

At one point, I wanted to play Fable II so bad that I almost bought an Xbox One just to play it again!
I still want to get back to it though I don’t think it will ever happen on PC sadly.

I liked Fable 3 though, so maybe one day I’ll get back to this one instead.
