I'd put this for a long time on hold. Turns out, that was stupid. Turns out, it's a great game! It took me a while to get into it, but I had a fun time from pretty much start til end. (I was mildly annoyes it's a FP-Shooter, but wore my anti travel sickness wristbands right from the start and that prevented A LOT! I even got that comfortable with it, that I could play a while without, bc let's just face it: It is only a question of training. But rapid moving around was not doable without.)
I was very much intrigued by the story, I liked the sound and the setting. I liked how… well, I'll just call it steampunky, bc I have no better word for it. So I liked how steampunky it was.
It creeped me out! A lot! Luckily it never managed to jump-scare me, I might have quit it if it had. But nope, I was not constantly terrified :D Actually quite the opposite. The more I played, the sure I felt about the whole thing. So when I was up for the final boss I even set the difficulty from normal to hardmode. It worked. Okay, maybe it took me a couple of tries, but it never seemed impossible - so yeah, second time I rushed through the whole thing to get all cheevos. I even tried the extra maps and did everything there. Only not the last one with time run. It just… seemed too time consuming, so nope, onto other games.
I really liked it. I liked the unexpected turn and the moment you realize how it makes sense. I normally wonder how the hero of the story ends up where ever he is and turns into a hero at one point or another. Here I just thought: Ok, he came into this strange situation and to get to safety he has to just do shit. I was happy enough to take this as reason, but the game delivered us a way better reason. I really liked that!
Just a mild critic: Since I played it in English, the German woman… well her German English was good, I guess, but her German was bad. Funny how actors imitate the German English but not get it right the other way round - yeah, I complain about that in Shows as well, bc that's how I am!
Yeah, so I'm running out of things to say right now - although there is probably more. I'll just stop and move to the final question:
Recommendation? Yep!

Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~

I won the base game a while ago and played the game at the time. At some point I managed to get a hold of the DLCs and now I finally had the chance of getting back to it and completing it! I really liked the game! Mostly because it shows us things in Japan and tells us stuff about it. Mainly Tokyo, but a few things are at different places as well. I already knew a couple of things, after having read a pretty nice book about Japan, but this was a completely different approach to getting to know things.
On the side we have two romance options for our male hero - although I gave him my nick, so it felt female, but wasn't female. That was a bit ood. Never mind though, right? :D
I kinda wish they would make more of this. Like for different parts in Japan too. Yeah, I know, that's a big dream. I might as well get on a plain and just look at the real stuff. But then again a game is a bit cheaper and in the end I might know what I wanna see more :]
Recommendation? Your a Japan Fan? Yep!

Cat Story ahead!
Tizio is a real meany! One of my online writing and gaming friends finally comes back – moving, internet and school stuff going on – and we are so ready to finally play something! So Tizio decided to sit on my PC casing, which I honestly don’t like bc he is a big cat and therefore I always push he down. He doesn’t really care and tries it again and again. So I shoved him down. And before I realized it he was back up and walked off over the front. The power button for my PC is on top at the front. Guess what? He stepped on it. He totally switched my PC off! And there you sit, happily chatting and… over and out. Really irritating! Luckily we hadn’t started gaming yet :D
We had the other day a workman over to measure out the basement staircase – we wanna redo the kitchen/dinner area and since it’s open to the cellar, it’s only sensible to also redo the stairs. My mum locked the dog into the living room. So when the bell rang, Ameno was a bit at loss, at what he could do. Normally he would hide in the living room somewhere, but… that was locked! So he ran around like a maniac in my room. Over the desk, to the stairs, only to turn around again, crawl underneath the cupboard, hide inside the box and so on. I finally closed the door, so he might calm down a bit. Only prob: the dog kept on barking occasionally, so Ameno was still super antsy and had still no good place to hide. In the end he crawled on my desk behind a speaker and then underneath a board on my desk. It’s like: Is there any more hiding place? Actually I don’t think so. He was pretty relieved though once the guy was gone again. I didn’t tell him, they’ll be back. Only good thing about that is the offer from my dad to stay at his flat for work during the time. With the cats! After he refused us visiting, bc my cats leave behind that much fur. So yeah, we are allowed to do that this time! Massive moving on my part I guess thinking

Nothing new on the RL front really. But I did some nice ceramicpainting and I’m happy with it :)

I’ve heard Bioshock remasters are pretty bad at functioning properly, crashing all the time. It seems things were A-okay on your end, huh?

ninglor03

I think they fixed it at some point. Not a single crash! But yeah, I read about it.

Awww, BioShock is one of the games I remember fondly from high school, and I’m glad you got a chance to enjoy it.

May your next 100 posts be updates filled with joy and good games, and I especially love all the dad tips you include in each one c:

ninglor03

I really liked it!
Kinda stupid to avoid games, just because they are part of a series and playing the first means the others will eventually follow :D

Thank you! I’ll hope for the best!
Luckily I still have a few Dad tips. No idea what I’ll do once I’m through o.o
