First post!

For the past few weeks I’ve been searching for something similar to BLAEO for categorizing my Steam games in a neater way than the Steam client’s category feature.
I’ll start by listing some of the games I’ve been playing for the past couple weeks.

Beaten Games

  • Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation
    Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation

    73 hours playtime

    23 of 41 achievements

  • Stardew Valley
    Stardew Valley

    177 hours playtime

    24 of 40 achievements

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation

The Neptunia games seem to be a “like it or hate it” type series. I can see how the game play might feel boring or repetitive for some people, but I think most of the charm comes from the characters. Half the game is story and character interactions, so if you don’t care about that and just want to play the game, perhaps you should look elsewhere. Most enemies are just re-skins of other enemies, and with the exception of bosses and other powerful enemies, most of the combat is just button spamming. Also, unless you just want to spam through the combat to get to the story, over-leveling can make even powerful enemies fall in a couple combos.
I have just finished the game for the first time with the True Ending and am currently in the process of my second play-through for the Conquest Ending. After that, I plan on playing a third time for the Holy Sword ending and then completing the other endings by “save scumming” a forth play-through. I will grind the other achievements during my current or third play-through. I will likely move on to the third Neptunia game after I 100% this one.

Stardew Valley

While there are no ending requirements for Stardew Valley, I’ve set it to beaten as I have completely restored the community center.
Stardew Valley is a game that’s meant to be enjoyed, so I’m not in much of a rush to complete it. I do plan to eventually get all the achievements except maybe the arcade and museum achievements. I’m currently in the fall of the second year, and I should be close to getting everything I need for the various collection achievements.

Unfinished Games

  • Mark of the Ninja
    Mark of the Ninja

    22 hours playtime

    22 of 38 achievements

Mark of the Ninja

This was a game I bought quite a while ago but only got about half-way to beating it. I’ve recently restarted my progress but have already gotten farther than my previous attempt. I estimate that I only have one level to go, but looking at the achievements, there might be more than just the main story. I may be able to beat it this week, though it may carry on into next week depending on how much is left.

Blue Ϟ Lightning

welcome welcome :3

That seams like alot of work for 100%.
I mean I’ve gone to great lengths to get some achievements but thats just insane.
maybe because I don’t like the genre of game (with the button smashing combat) but I couldn’t imagine doing that.

I’ve 100% the first game and the hardest achievement was the “get 100 million credits” achievement, which is quickest to earn by unlocking the mod that allows you to defeat enemies without even entering combat and grinding on a high credit-paying enemy. In fact, in new game+, since you start with a high level and endgame equipment, you don’t have to grind on normal enemies and can head straight to the end of each dungeon.
Also, Neptunia games generally aren’t button mashing. It’s just that each turn gives you three attacks each with a choice of up to three different attacks, so I just end up spamming the attack that does the most damage.

I’m new too and still figuring out how to categorize but welcome!

Welcome to BLAEO! Good luck with your backlog :)

Yay to first post!
Welcome aboard!
Good luck on killing your backlog :)

I got Stardew Valley as a gift, since I enjoy HM on the ds a lot (if I’m in the mood to play them), but for some reason it feels different to play it on pc. I know I used to wish for a pc version from MH, but now that I got one…. Oh man, I’m a complicated being :D
I will eventually give it a real try/go, but atm I don’t feel to much like that kind of open and never ending game :D

Have a great time, dear Assassin!
Happy backlog killing :)

Welcome to BLAEO, Psydra!
Creating new BLAEO groups for further classification is part of the fun of this group. And it helps you organize your backlog (and played games) to help your plan of attack. :)

Welcome!~ Since Stardew Valley is a no rush/relaxing game, did you find it easy to get into?

Psydra

Since Stardew Valley has no win or lose conditions, a player can play it however they want to. I like optimizing my farm to get the most harvests per month, so I look up and put together spreadsheets to determine how to build my farm, but if someone isn’t into that, they can just build their farm however they want. So in that respect, it’s as easy to get into as you make it to be.
