About Love, Hate and the other ones: It’s nice cute indie game, it’s a 2D puzzle platformer with two main characters (Love and Hate) which you can use whenever you want durring the level. Each character has one “attack”, Love makes the minnions to get closer and Hate makes them go further. The objective is to reach a big red button which teleports you to the next stage. The button is always placed somewhere high and you need to “build” a ladder of minnions to get higher.

The Inner World: Great indie game with great storyline and awesome artstyle. The genre of the game is point and click, sadly it’s executed horribly. Because of this game I will never going to touch something with the tag point and click. I can’t stand them now, I didn’t like the genre even before that but since it was SG win I had to give it a shot. I really hate following a sertain logic in order to progress I really hate that. You need to combine obejcts which I would never think of what use they will do to me. I said the game is executed horribly, because the save system is broken. There are 5 chapters and oh lord if you want to restart a chapter there is no feature to select at all. The “devs” placed in discussions save files for each chapter if you want to restart. WTF. How clumsy you must be to fucked that feature up. It’s a must for a game to have a feature to restart a chapter. You will ask why you need to restart the chapter, well the game is broken as fuck. Sometimes an object from your inventory disappear and without it you can’t progress in the game. This happend to me TWICE. I’m sitting on 22/23 achievements because of items dissapearing. I would kindly ask if anyone is going to play the game to give me save file after he crafts the red onsie in the first chapter so I can try again getting the last achievement. T_T

Grapple: Awesome 3D puzzle platformer with great soundtrack. The game is ton of fun and it’s short. It has 90 levels when you hit 70th level from now on the game is real nightmare it’s extremely hard. I was sweating a lot on the last 10 levels I recommend to beat it to 50th level it’s really not worth it to get bad feeling for the game. It has some funny looking dude on a frame hanging in the air with cool animations.

Thanks for the warning about The Inner World. I was excited when I bought it on sale but I’ll never play it. I really can’t tolerate glitched games, especially when they are extremely random so you can’t even use some workaround to avoid it. Looking at The Inner World Steam discussion boards was like a nightmare, people were talking about 5-6 different items disappearing randomly, I really can’t deal with that.

Point and click is not for everyone and I totally agree with the “game logic” part. Most of them involve crazy combination of items and obscure puzzles that don’t really make sense but for me they have very enjoyable stories which is why it’s one of my most beloved genres and if the game starts annoying me a lot, I don’t feel guilty for checking a walkthrough or a guide at all. But I believe you didn’t find a good point/click yet. A short and simple one I could suggest is Tormentum - Dark Sorrow. No glitches, very simple puzzles, no item combinations, no overloaded inventories, amazing art and intriguing story. After that my next suggestion would be Botanicula. From soundtrack to graphics it’s an amazing game but puzzles can be a bit more challenging than Tormentum but it’s still far more simple than your common point and click, Botanicula also has no item combinations by the way. So far the easiest point and click I played is Morningstar: Descent to Deadrock, it’s only like a 2-hour-long game and a very simple 100% completion. There are a few weird item combinations but the locations you visit and items you pick up are very limited so it’s very simple to “brute force” those.

I could definitely recommend more beautiful and amazing games but they are more advanced and I checked guides for some of them to continue cause things were getting too hectic with weird item combinations and puzzle solutions. If you don’t mind checking walkthroughs once in a while (I know it’s unacceptable for some people, which is fine) let me know and I can recommend more titles with very enjoyable stories and great humour.

Many thanks Lenor for the awesome reply, I will check those games up. I really want to be done with point and clicks but maybe those games might prove me wrong again

Wow I had no idea people were having issues with The Inner World, when I played it a couple of years ago I can’t recall have any difficulties with disappearing items. Point and clicks aren’t usually my kind of thing but I was surprised with how much I enjoyed it.

Maybe I was super unlucky :D

Shame you can’t stand P&Cs. Yeah, “developer logic” is a staple of the genre, but that’s really kinda the charm in that you’re supposed to get into their crazy mindset. Even worse when paired with real problems like saving issues.
