I was skeptical at first about this game, first few seconds of the video looked so boring I almost skipped over it. The overwhelmingly positive reviews changed my mind. It was on sale, so I thought, Why not.

This was surprisingly enjoyable. You are a customs agent of sorts, you deny or grant people entry to your country depending on their papers, or if you just feel like it. There are 20 endings to the game, and I played through most of them. You can join an organization dedicated to eliminating evils and corruption, help a friend with their drug trade, or be a good citizen and do your job. I also liked all the small story’s you could find. There are a wide variety of people you would meet, and I quite enjoyed them. My favorite one is the guy who gives you the blue note. I usually let him pass. I liked Jorji Costava a lot, I think him and Sergiu were my favorites.

Anyway, it’s a fun little game, and you should seriously consider playing it. I’m really glad I bought it.

Papers, Please is a real gem… it’s just unfortunate that I physically can’t play it <:c

My wrists are really on the weak side, and the constant repetitive clicking and dragging really does a number on them - if I played for more than a half hour at a time, it’d ache like a bitch.

I’m happy to see you’ve 100% cleared it! I am with you in spirit - even if not in reality

Check out exoskeletons. While they might be too bulky now, in a couple years it might be more useful. I like reading about those, a full body one can actually help paralyzed people walk again. It would be nice if in the future they became cheaper and more commonplace.

I’m recently beat the game too (like 2 days ago) and I absolutetly love it. I would love to 100% (missing only 2) but I’m not in a mood to do 2 more playthroughs at the moment. Jorji was really loveable character, always fun to interact with him.

Everytime someone asks me why this is one of my fav games, they get confused xD While the idea looks v boring the gameplay itself is so much fun. I completed it some years ago, finished every now and then some endings. Kind of miss it rn…x)

Sigh, this one is still in my backlog, I’m very eager to play it though. It’s weird to read someone would have skipped over it because of a video, because ever since it came out it had so much media coverage, and really positive reception overall, so one might think everyone heard about it by now and won’t need a video to decide if they want to play :)

I judge a game by two things, the first couple seconds of a video, and the overall reviews. I will go back and check it out further in depth if it was recommended by a friend, or has positive reviews by one. For instance, I was going to skip over Silence, but four people I knew said it was good, so i’m going to be playing it later.

I guess the games have it hard to get your attention. Or are you with trailers like those people who just after few notes can tell what song is it? ;) I usually watch full trailer, provided it features gameplay (other trailer types don’t interest me).

Silence, while gorgeous looking is just ok gameplay wise. I’m not deterring you from playing it - it’s nice, but it’s not exactly 2nd coming of gaming Jesus either ;)
