End of 2025 Update

Work restructured at the beginning of the year, and my mapped role had all the work I liked removed from it. It luckily has gotten better since I started my new role in July after many, MANY interviews over about 8 months.
Not too much gaming happened since getting this role until I played Hades II! Otherwise a lot of my spare time this second part of the year has just been reading fanfiction and playing sport.
I entered PAGYWOS Secret Santa this year which was a lot of fun, and have been gifted some amazing games from some amazing people - you can see the list on the backlog tab, and also the progress here
2025 Summary:
62 games added to the backlog this year. 41 of them were added in December....22 Games Beaten/Completed: 15 Completed, 7 Beaten
2026 Plan:
I don't really stick to plans for gaming, but a few games such as Cyberpunk and Clair Obscur are my main big games I want to play. I also would like to finish Batman Arkham Asylum (we will see haha). My ever changing list for 2026. This list is mostly longer games/series I want to focus on, and I'll probably pick from my Secret Santa snowballs list to break these up.

Since my last update at the end of... May(?!?), I didn't really play much except for Hades II until December!
Completed/Beaten
Same as Hades 1 really, just with a lot more game and a new character/story!
I loved the two paths, as it gave more variety.
The music, especially for the Sirens fight was amazing and I had it on repeat for awhile…!

Once I got into this, it was actually really fun!
The Photo mode is also brilliant.
I did have to coerce nin to come help for a couple of the multiplayer achievements (Thanks nin!) as even on Very Easy it was difficult solo especially for those escort/defend missions where you needed to also do something outside the defense zone… Luckily it was really easy once one person is a high level to run a high level mission and get the other person the correct gear so it wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be.
Very addicting, and perfect game on the Steam Deck.
I was going to go for the 100%, but then I got my new job and gaming fell on the back burner so its just going to stay at Beaten now haha

SO many games - I was going pretty well this year at not adding too many, and then the chaos with the Secret Santa in the last couple of weeks changed that ;)

Have fun with Cyberpunk - definitely pick up the Liberty DLC, I ended up enjoying it more than the main game, the ost’s and ending song in particular was incredible

Oh wow you’ve put some proper effort into cookie clicker already. It looks so simple with the amount of hours and achievements you got but I remember the video I watched of someone 100% it so I know its just pretending
Yeah I went to my profile and went.. oh…I really did disappear for ages. I broke my streak - I had been posting monthly for years!
Cookie Clicker was an easy game to start to be fair - getting it before Christmas was great as I could half play it/idle it while wrapping presents!
Much easier to get into than my bigger games where I will need to dedicate time to sit down exclusively to play. Although, Cookie Clicker does have all the strategy on ascensions, golden cookies and even the stock market…
