Update 39: January 27th to 31st
January is done already. And I have only won 1 new game and did not buy anything new this week.
What to say about this demo? As a fan of the original Gothic I wanted to love this one, but I cannot really say that I do. The game does not really feel like Gothic more like a generic RPG. I tried it with a controller, but that did not work well at all. Also several of the achievements are broken.
I was kinda on a retro trip. Well not really much to say about this. If you know Pac Man you know what to expect. It's a fun Pac Man game, where you can choose different boards to play on and change how everything looks.
Also a retro game. Aliens have overtaken the earth and you have to fight them by shooting at them with various weapons. Every time you hit one of the blobs it will divide into two smaller ones until they are completly destroyed.
You can also play this in Coop, though I never tried it. It's enough for a fun evening.
It's a HOG, but with a twist. You have to go to different cluttered locations where you are trying to find the most valuable items that you then can sell in your store after you have haggled with the owner for an exceptable price.
You have several different modes you can choose from. If I remember correctly an endless mode, the 30-day challenge where you have to be the top seller in 30 days.
It was a fun game and I will return to it to complete it.
A really fun HOG with a good story, Needs a second playthrough to get all the achievements though.

I’m surprised to see Gothic teaser having positive rating on Steam and glad that someone else agrees with my own opinion on it. Too many seem to be in that “I’ll take whatever as long as it brings back something I like” mindset which generally doesn’t lead to good things.
I really loved the original. It was after all one of the first bigger RPGs that I played. And I loved it with all it’s flaws. I just feel with this teaser they have not really addressed any of the problems, just made everything more generic RPG fare. Maybe that is what people today think is good ¯\(ツ)/¯

Well the 7th game on my PoP list is Analogue: A Hate Story, which I have in my “Works in Progress” since I will start it momentarily.
And I don’t think so. I have once already beaten 13 games and I think mooney had more once. And btw. I already completed the first one yesterday ;)

Yes, you have picked good games. ;) Not like me and my superlong picks, but truth is that this month it’s not that horrible, but I am compensating it on BLAEO challenge. XD
Well I purposefully picked shorter games this month, though if I still have time at the end of the month I have some longer ones to use too 😉

Well only this last week. Overall I gained 10 games in January. But 10 is far better than the +43 of last month.
