I have not beaten, nor completed any games this month....but I did delete games from my library. BACKLOG PROGRESS, WOOHOO!! š

Congrats the backlog cleanup! Iām pretty pleased with the Black Desert removal, as someone who used to play it, it was honestly a bit exhausting although last time I tried to make a new character it was significantly worse starting out - since you just show up and you get the vibe youāre in the middle of a season the game has no intention of letting you know what happened in the first part easily. (also the starting 500 pop-ups are intimidating)
How are you liking my time at sandrock? I had such a lovely time. Are you using nvidia to take screenshots again?

I played Black Desert at release, and thought when it went free, Iād try it again on steam. Never installed it. I did love the character creation at the time, but remember the actual game being too grindy. Donāt remember much about it to be honest! Iām not surprised the game inundates you with pop upsā¦
Iām enjoying MTaS! It pretty much feels just like Portia, with QoL upgrades. Even getting the workshop ranking achievement in year 1 was very easy, and Iām now at about 15000 points for Workshop rank in the 2nd season in year 2ā¦ I feel like the main story line drags at times, where you have to wait for days for quests to pop up. Iāve had a lot of days in-game where Iāve not had much to do due to waiting on quests to progress, and having most items needed for commissions already prepped. I then either sleep or speed time up to 3 if I need to attend a late night quest. The character interactions are better than Portia, and Iām finding the game funnier. I think Unsuur is one of my favourite characters. Building your workshop is way better, but Iām not really interested in the building in this game like some others.
Achievement wise, Iām not liking the max all skills achievement, just because it forces you to gift everyone something everyday to raise the social level, and Iāve just given up and been gifting tea leaves and coffee to everyone, if they like them or not! How dare they judge me for gifting them the same thing 2 days in a row! š But yes, I am really enjoying it still even with those nitpicky things!
Iām just using the in-game camera, removing the HUD and taking screenshots that way. Much easier than using nvidia when itās not necessary!
It took me way to long to find the camera, I think I might have been winter or sometime second year before I realized the camera actually lets you do photos. Also yes, the gifting is a huge pain - as well as getting that last space upgrade for your home. Iām pretty sure you had 8x more money than the town had with all that nonsense.

Sandrock is pretty much done - just frustrating because I have one achievement left that is bugged so I donāt have pleasant feelings for it at the moment!!
I also havenāt started Dinkum.. it will just stay.. in my backlogā¦ waiting :D
What did you think of Palia? Did you not like it or did the negative opinions about it discourage you from playing? Iāve been looking forward to playing it since before it even came out, but now that it is out, I donāt know what to thinkā¦
I like some aspects of it and it was pretty, it just felt really, really grindy and I felt like it was purposely wasting my time on things even within the first 3 hours.
Iād recommend trying it if you are interested, because a lot of people seem to like it! (and itās freeā¦)
That sounds really stinky. Iād say āglad you got out before you could get any achievementsā, but going off the screenshot, it seems BLAEO didnāt even load them inā¦
I guess time will tell if I find it anything like Disney Dreamlight Valley (rushing around to get everything done, my relationship with this game could probably be classified as ātoxicā) or just a bore. (If it doesnāt launch/work properly, thatāll also be another sign not to go for it.) Thanks for the input!
