Main Quest #116 - 20 November 2020

The Little Acre

HITMAN™

9/10
about 12 hours playtime
16 of 69 achievements (23%)

I had heard great things about it but actually playing was pretty fun! I loved it! It has great room for messing around and completing each mission in numerous ways, and I actually regret now not buying April’s Choice which included Hitman 2 (2018) - guess I’ll need to wait for the steam sales or something.

So little playtime! D:
But glad you loved it \o/ Hitman needs sooooooooo much love! <3

Garcias

Ahah yeah, I remember seeing your playtime and screenshots of the game, which made me play sooner than later, but I just played through each mission once xD

ninglor03

Yay! I’m happy I motivated you \o/
And that’s absolutely fine. One doesn’t have to be this stupid persistent :D

Lengray

Congrats. Which location did you prefer?
I enjoyed the first game so much that I replayed all the H1 missions in Hitman 2, which I intend to finish before the year is over.
Oh and one more thing: 16 of 69 achievements is not 77% but 23% ;)

Garcias

I actually enjoyed them all. Paris was really cool (I love France) but I liked more the location than the mission and opportunities themself. I liked Sapienza a bit more because I also love Italy, but I don’t seem to remember much about it except the location design. Marrakesh was fun because of the conditions involved (the fraud and the coup). Bangkok and Colorado were cool, but nothing special imo. And Hokkaido was really interesting because it’s in Japan (another country I love) and its “sci-fi” setting. So it appears I really enjoyed the ones which were in countries I’m a fan of, I guess xD But I’d say Hokkaido was my overall favorite, followed by Paris and Sapienza, which are kinda tied, for different reasons.
I don’t have the Patient Zero, but I also don’t know if it’s worth getting/playing. I actually thought I had everything, but it appears I did not.

Thanks for the notice. I forgot to change it when c/p from an older update :)

Hi, This game is quite far from my Backlog but I just wanna know if somehow you could skip the first Hitman and jump ahead to Hitman 2 to just play all the level of the first game there? Some Samaritan gave me a copy of the 2nd game when it was on Humble Bundle, and contemplating if somehow I should complete my purchase of episode of H1.

Lengray

Definitely. The vast majority of the H1 content can be played in H2 if you buy the necessary upgrade. From the top of my head, only a few challenges from H1 are not available in the updated H1 locations.

Lenor

Looove this game (and Hitman 2 of course). Sapienza was my most favourite mission but I must have spent around 20 hours in Paris mission alone just to get its challenges. Before the patch you had to complete the mission for challenges to count so it took even longer for me to hunt them all. Pre-patch I generally spent about 10-20 hours per location :D

Glad you enjoyed it.

Garcias

I enjoyed it so much that I got kinda sad because I let it pass on April Choice (I skipped that month), but I also just traded/bought it and will play it soon-ish, so everything ended up well! Now I just gotta wait for it to finish download xD

Lenor

Depending on your internet speed that might take some time if you have the dlcs. This post made me crave some Hitman 2 so I started downloading it and it’s like 150 GB since it also includes missions from the 1st game :D

I’m hopeful that you’ll enjoy Hitman 2 as well. I personally think it had more fun locations and challenges than its predecessor but both games are amazing in my opinion. I admit it’ll be tough for me to be patient for Hitman 3 to drop on Steam in about 14 months.

Also IO Interactive (Hitman developer) just announced that they are making a James Bond game. Who knows maybe it’ll have stealth and espionage gameplay too and be similar to Hitman.

Garcias

It’s only the Standard Edition, so no missions from the 1st game. It’s around 40gb but I also started playing Far Cry 4 yesterday, so I’ll finish it up before I start Hitman 2.
Oh, I didn’t knew Hitman 3 was gonna be an epic exclusive for a year. Not really a big problem for me, but that’s sad to know.
I saw those news and I got hyped as hell. I was enjoying the Hitman mechanics and I really enjoy the 007 movies, although I guess it’s still a long time before it releases (even more if it goes first to Epic, like Hitman 3). But it’s okay, I can wait, I have a big backlog ;__;

Lenor

Good for you ;)

I have little-to-no backlog and Hitman is one of the few things I take pleasures from in life so it’ll be very hard for me. I hope the money they got from Epic will mean awesome future games though, I trust IO Interactive.

tubberware

This one is still on my backlog. Got stuck in the first actual mission after tutorials. :p

Garcias

Yeah, it took me like 3 hours to be able to finish the first actual mission (Paris), but after that, I got used to the mechanics and how opportunities (and intel) work, so it went a little better after that.
