Progress report: Second and third week of June ‘20 (a.k.a. Oops!)
Yup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.
My answer to that would be that life derailed itself; thankfully for no reason more dangerous than a little too much caffeine and a bigger PlayStation backlog.
However! I (fortunately or not) also managed to expand my Steam backlog, which is what this post will be about (for the sake of sticking with it).
(Adding insult to injury, this post was meant to come out much, much sooner… the next week is already closer to its end, god damn it.)

In total: 20 games from 6 bundles (2 of which were bought earlier), 3 (non-SG) giveaways, 1 trade and 3 freebies
See you next time! Don’t be like me :)
You got a few games I’m interested in playing!
Brothers, Last Day of June, Virginia.
Have fun playing :)
Yup! Had those on my wishlist for a while now (Brothers especially), but I’ll still be waiting for the miraculous day of upgrading from a super old and crusty laptop to play them :D
I should get around to playing Brothers … I’ve had it since a while now (got it from Kinguin’s Crazy Free Weekends last year) and still haven’t touched it.
Dang, I don’t check out Kinguin enough ^^;; I assume you have a controller? Can’t imagine what it’s like to play that with a keyboard.
I do… but I have the shittiest controller ever lol.
Oh? How come?
I was gifted one last year but apparently it’s a knock-off but the buyer didn’t realize lol
Oh no, that sucks lol
To the buyer’s credit though, controllers are pretty damn expensive. The only reason I could see justifying the price of a DualShock 4, for example, is its internal speaker (?).
It’s not their fault haha. They were clueless so I understand!
I still try to use it but it requires an additional program to do some settings and stuff, which I can’t do on my own. So it’s a shitty controller :p
Ah, then I especially get it!
But I know setting up stuff can get weird, especially if you can’t tell if the possibility of bricking something in the process is there or not.
I have played it with a keyboard… It might seem really dumb, but I did manage to finish the whole game with it. So don’t be afraid to try if that’s your biggest concern
Oh, no, I have a controller I could use, just that my current computer most likely wouldn’t be able to run the game. Thank you for sharing though :)
I know that the game looks amazing as well, but from what I remember it wasn’t hard to run either.
I’m not sure what specs you’ve got. But it is for SURE worth giving it a try!
Haha, I can never know which games would or wouldn’t run on my computer, I’m using a 10+ year old laptop, I believe :) But I know I wanna play that game, I’ve watched it being played quite a few years ago now and loved it, that’s why I kept it on my wishlist :D
27? Damn, not bad. I managed to reduce my bought things to 11 (8 games and 3 dlc). But there were at some point 30 things in my cart D:
oh you counted. more and less then i thought because I didnt
oh yh its at the bottom. I did look at that but then it was to much reading
Well it was five in a row and then… Yeah, I counted :D
Bundles. Bundles will do that to you…
I kicked the HOG bundle… hide
Don’t kick the bundle!
It might awaken and go after you 😱
Ah, hello! I mean… yes, yes… the power of bundles is best not messed with… ooo…
To late, already happened! runs away
Which bundle magically attached itself to your wallet this time?
Well I still kicked it, but it was the Dark Tales Bundle o.O
Ahhh! Wait right here, Queen Ninglor! chases after you
I feel very stupid this sale. I somehow started checking out DLCs, which I really shouldn’t do. Haven’t bought any yet though - apart from the 3xPPU DLCs. So that’s good I guess.
I only took advantage of the road trip discount - and I feel bad anyway. New games are nice and shiny, but my wallet… :’(
Yeah, that’s always a struggle D:
But then I see people saying “I wish it wasn’t a one time thing” and I can only wonder if those people have no other things to spend their money on :D
Maybe they don’t. Maybe they don’t have that many wl games - or more? Maybe they hope for better discounts. ABANDON HOPE! It’s not (always) working out D:
I envy people with smaller wishlists and simultaneously pity them for expecting better discounts. However! I have to say, I used sale charts to carefully pick the games I was going to get and I feel really great having taken advantage of the new deepest discounts on pretty much all my new titles :D
Yeah, I looked into a few things and saw they never had more discount, so I got them (Grisaia and Steins;gate…). So yeah, I guess sometimes we just have to take things the way they come. Oh damn. I’d love to get Planet Zoo though o.O
I’m still super pumped about you getting Steins;Gate! You gotta tell me your thoughts after you’re done with it :D
When and if I ever get to play it xD
I shall. I also hope to soon get back to writing reviews hides
Take it one step at a time! It’s not the best VN to split in chunks, but I somehow managed to cut off at the right times, hour after hour… took some breaks here and there before the story started getting interesting, but after I got hooked… maaan, was it worth it :D
Sounds good :D
Yup! Just, as a warning, about the story not pulling you in… that might last over the prologue and the first two-three chapters.
Yeah, well I survived World End Economica, it can’t be worse. Only longer :D
Hah, I think I’ve only read one somewhat positive review of that one! Glad it’ll be a hot while before I get to it anyway :D
But no, I don’t think it could be worse. I hear the biggest complaint in WEE was the economic babble - well, Steins;Gate has its technobabble, but while it’s interesting, turning your mind off (at least partially) shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the rest ^^
Uhm…. Now I kinda regret I bought it, if it’s basically like WEE o.o
oh thats barely nothing! yeah nothing at all its like you didn’t buy anything. so many games damnnnn
Talk to me like that more, Cece >.<
