Jeezy petes, you guys, I am fucking exhausted.
Last night I hosted a New Year’s Party that lasted until 4:30 am, and had friends come over again for lunch today and they stayed for three or four hours. It was wonderful and incredible and I had a hell of a time… but I am just so people’d out.
There’s nothing that soothes exhaustion like steam sales, though, coupled with the lovely warmth of holiday gift-giving. I was lucky and blessed enough to receive these games this Christmas:
And I bought myself the following with gift money I received:
A successful steam sale if I do say so myself, with a good bunch of games I’m very much looking forward to and some games I’m willing to take a (heavily discounted) chance on.

I got more games this year with the least money because I got the Nancy Drew pack. Several games you got are on my wishlist, so I look forward to seeing your thoughts. I’ve never played Nameless, but I liked another game by that developer called Dandelion.
Getting stuff in packs are really good deals! I hope you like those games.
Dandelion is on my wishlist, too! I’m excited to hear it’s good. I think I liked the premise of Nameless a bit more, so I put it higher on my wishlist. I hope to get to them in a timely matter, but with a backlog that never stops growing I don’t know when that will be.

Oh wow, that’s a whole lot of amazing looking games!! I didn’t buy anything for myself so far in the sales (well wrong, i got myself a small dlc), spent most of my sale budget on my GF and my friends for xmas, but i’m happy that way, plus I got gifted some great stuff too so it’s all good (Especially Dream Daddy, I’m having a lot of fun with it already).

NYE was a nightmare this year sadly, so I’m just glad it’s over and we’re January 2nd already :p

New year was the same as before (and will probably be the same in the future)… meh. Can’t recall when I last got excited about the new year.
On the other hand, the Steam sale was good. Bought 4 games and a DLC. Already beaten Attack on Titan (still going for 100%). After I asked a refund for Night in the Woods, I bought Glass Masquerade. Still looking for other games to buy. Kinda feels good to have a backlog again. XD

Before buying it, I’ve read that there’s some platforming but that it’s mainly focused on the narrative. After trying it a bit, I thought that I’d just get annoyed with platforming to get to places (I hate don’t like platforming) so I asked for a refund. I’ll probably buy it again later when I think I’m in the mood to tolerate platforming.
That makes some sense - the platforming isn’t very prominent, but then again I enjoy platformers, especially when its like NiTW and there’s no failures (if u fall u just try again).

The backlog grows!!! With many quality games to boot :). I look forward to what you have to say about 1bitheart in particular (currently playing through it now). Aside from a few gifts given, I kept my steam sale buys a bit short. Ruiner and Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. Wanted to ease the flow of my backlog (also because I am broke at the moment haha). New Years was filled with work, so nothing exciting, but your time sounded grand. People’d out? It’s a good things you have all these games for an escape :3. Hope your year goes well. ^_^

I never saw this expression but I can understand you perfectly! Haha. I feel the same usually after most events/holidays where you see too many people.
Anyway, you sure managed to refill your backlog wonderfully! I see many games I’d be interesting in playing myself but I will try to not buy anything anymore until I beat more games… At least I will try.
It’s crazy! I’m very outgoing but I’m an introvert at heart, so as much as I love my friends after heavy-duty things like that I literally feel hungover even with me not drinking X_X

Oh yeah, I absolutely lost it when I heard that Okami was getting a PC port - it’s one of my favorite games from when I was a young teenager. I’ll be playing that very soon!

I remember hearing so many good things about them, I just had to snag them when I could. Getting to actually playing them is a different matter…
Oooh you got so many really good games! I hope you will have the time to enjoy every single one of them :) My new years eve went by pretty well, but it wasn’t anything special. I got myself Metal Gear Rising, a Hypderdimension game and Spelunky this sale and I’m pretty happy about what I bought, even if it isn’t that much.
