Hello guys! This is an extensive(r) post that features… tabs within tabs! So you can switch while you switch.

To bask in those, use the upper tabs (the ‘named tags’) to browse the subjects. Used the ‘numbered tags’ (I, II, III, etc) to browse content within that subject. The tabs remember where you’ve last been.

The panel above will color according to your currently named tag!

Also, most of the numbered tabs feature screenshots, a few feature rambling.

If you don’t care for the stuff I’ve written on a game (it’s fine!), at least skip to “ETC”. I’ll be thanking you for you time at ETC-IV, so please read that one if TL;DR.

Cheerio! (:

escollo

Tabception! But it looks cool! And a little bit frustrating.

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Awn chucks! For you or for me? Because if you found them annoying please let me know and I’ll be a better shitty programmer next time I promise!

escollo

Nah, they are ok. I just accidentally lost tab that I read and it takes a little bit to find it :P

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Oh ):

I’ll try to make less tabs next time. I could have actually used less tabs this time, but I got too caught up in it to reduce them.

Noted.

Arbiter Libera

That’s a whole bunch of tabs. I’m too afraid to even inspect the post. :)

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Hehe yeah, I was afraid that was the impression it would cause. shrugs But I’ve spent too long on this to care at this point. I’m just glad I released this beast out there.

Arbiter Libera

Alright, it’s morning and Markdown doesn’t frighten me anymore so let’s give it a read.

I am certainly glad to hear you enjoyed Gwent, even if it is for entirely selfish reasons because I frankly don’t care much for the multiplayer angle and can’t wait for them to release story mode(s) instead. If they don’t do a major misstep with microtransactions or something else I can see myself indulging in the game on sporadic basis. Did they re-use card assets from Witcher 3 or come up with new ones? Can you spot the difference between the two?

Sadly, I’ve noticed I’m kinda biased against shorter or small games for some reason. This extends even more to free games that aren’t featured on any single platform but are instead available standalone on their own sites, etc. The Trader of Stories, The Lion’s Song and OneShot all seem to fall under that category and maybe I should change that. I am certainly looking forward to hear more from you as The Lion’s Song releases more episodes. I personally can’t stand episodic games until they’re complete and then I get the entire package. Maybe because I forget what I played through if there are long breaks in-between, dunno.

No idea what to think about Astroneer. What would you say is the closest comparison to some other game? Is it a survival sandbox? If so I don’t think it’s my jam, but it certainly looks appealing with inviting soft colors and lighting.

On the technical side of things… is that second IV sub-tab in the ETC tab intended? Doesn’t matter either way because I got credited with something so it’s all good. Shame Fotor didn’t work out for you, but yes, it is limited. Let me ask you some questions about the post if you don’t mind answering them. Did you leave white strips on the left side of every sidebar image on purpose to avoid dealing with additional formatting? I didn’t know that simply tagging images as background and proper alignment works so well when your pair it with text justify. Sure beats faffing around with offsets and margins.

I love the Roman numerals. Fancy as hell.

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Good morning, sleeping beauty! Hope you had a refreshing night of rest, because I myself didn't sleep a wink.

I only have 75 hours on TW3. That being said, my Gwent deck in it sucks and I have no idea what I'm doing in the in-game Gwent. I never cared much for it or for its missions, so I can't really tell you the card type differences between the two. What I can assert with certainty, however, is that I find the standalone Gwent more smooth, pretty, pleasant and varied to play. I know there are more cards in it too, but I have no idea which, exactly. I think the biggest differences, since it's a multiplayer game, is in card art and balance. Even if a card is on the original game, it will more than likely be different in the standalone, therefore making the whole experience diverge greatly from the original.

I understand exactly what you mean. I'm very biased towards long movies, for example. It's not that I don't watch short movies, but hell, my favorite movie, as of today, is Lawrence of Arabia. It has four hours. I have no idea why, though. So I understand your lack of empathy for those titles and your inability to pinpoint where it stems from.

On a side note, I bet you'd hate to love Kentucky Route Zero.

I'm not sure what ASTRONEER is yet, considering it's in early alpha. But it is, indeed, shaping up to become a survival sandbox of sorts. I'm not too fond of those either, but neither the survival nor the sandbox parts are too heavy. I believe the main focus is exploration, which I love.

Yes it is on ETC-IV! It was my pleasure to credit you. I love answering technical questions so we're all good on that regard.

Yes I did leave white stripes on the side of every sidebar image. It saved me so much time on an already super complicated post. Any shortcuts I could take I took. Yes, they form a perfect and healthy marriage! Background image + white stripe + justify makes for a pleasant ménage you'll be coming back to often because it save so. much. time. I strongly suggest opening my images on a new tab and checking them out for yourself! Maybe even to use them as a template if you'd like.

I adore Roman numerals myself. Glad to not be alone in perceiving them fancy.

Arbiter Libera

“Only” 73 hours, you say? :) I ask because I’ve heard complaints they didn’t really translate Gwent exactly the way it was in Witcher 3 itself or something along those lines so people ended up disappointed. Have they announced any plans for future updates format for Gwent?

On a side note, I bet you’d hate to love Kentucky Route Zero.

Yes. I’m still waiting for KRZ to be completed before I dig into it. Soon, I hope.

Those shortcuts work, yes they do. I’m more perturbed on how to make posts that cover non-games more interesting visually considering I don’t think movie screen snaps would really have the same effect, for example. Not to mention books. I guess I could find a way around that with blown up quotes or maybe individual panels for comics and then strategically arrange them around, I don’t know. I’ll have to dope it out at some point, maybe even very next update.

Forsaken

It took me days to figure out my humble “3 tabs” :S I can only say “wow” here! It feels like you created your own little website.

I’m quite excited about Gwent. I will not be playing its multiplayer but I can’t wait to try out campaign mode once the game launches. It’s my most favourite card game ever. Which faction did you prefer? My personal favourite is Northern Realms. I just can’t say no to a Spy deck focused on Artillery.

Your challenge should be fun as both Botanicula and Volume are amazing games. I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I did. They compliment not only your visual but also auditory senses :)

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Hey Lenor! Thanks for such a kind note. It does feel like my post is a little tangled within itself haha! Thanks though, for the compliments.

Aw, the multiplayer is fun, though! I think it might be one of my favorite card games as well. I’m in love with Skellige, and I suck at everything else. I admire you and your Northern Realms preference.

Hehe, I’ve already beaten Botanicula! It’s one of my absolute favorite games of all time ever. It’s just… outstanding! I’m so glad you’ve liked it yourself. I’m also super excited to start Volume, so I’m glad you liked that one too! (:

Forsaken

I just don’t really like multiplayer games. May I ask if the game has some kind of a chat system between the opponents? Or emotes similar to Hearthstone? If so, is it possible to mute it completely? I “may” be okay with it if the entire match feels like I’m playing against an AI than a real person who is constantly trying to agitate me through the chat/emote system which happened a lot in Hearthstone.

Oh I remember those Skellige deck achievements in Witcher 3 Blood and Wine. I really missed my Northern Realms deck so much when I was forced to use that :P I guess my playstyle leans towards taking control with card advantage.

If you like Botanicula I can’t help but ask whether you played other Amanita Design games (Machinarium and Samorost)? They all are absolutely brilliant.

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Players don't talk at ALL while playing Gwent – there's no interface for it. Utter silence except for the amazing in-game soundtrack. There's also an AI to battle against! But I'd say they are too predictable for an adequate toast to death.

It's such a difficult style to master! You really do strive for the hardest stuff, don't you? (says the girl who put tabs within tabs for two days) I guess my style leans more towards frying my opponent before they get the advantage, and taking advantage of all the damage they inflict upon me in turn. Because, you know, some of us just like to watch the world burn. As for Blood and Wine, I haven't even finished the main campaign! But I'm sorry you had to suffer through alien card play style to finish it.

I want Amanita to bear my children. In all seriousness, though, I adore Samorost. But... I've never really liked Machinarium and I have no idea why. I wanted to, but I just didn't. I've never finished it, and I'm not sure if I will.

Forsaken

That’s fantastic! Ok I will most likely go for multiplayer after beating the campaign then. I don’t know if you are familiar with Hearthstone but my favourite class was Control Warrior which is possibly the latest game deck you can imagine (at the time, I don’t know how things changed now). I always go for control, drag out the battle, exhaust my opponents cards and take the win when they are close to running out (or do run out) of cards. It was a blast to play but it required heavy planning. I guess Spy oriented Northern Realms kinda reminded me of that playstyle. I didn’t think it was considered a hard deck to play, I actually thought it to be easiest as it was the default faction you start Witcher 3 with :O I can’t wait to see the new cards added in the standalone game.

If I wanted kids, I might want Amanita for it as well :P They make stunningly beautiful games. Although I’m really sad to hear about your negative experience with Machinarium as I consider it to be my most favourite point and click adventure/puzzle game and definitely my top favourite regarding original soundtrack. Samorost 3 had fantastic OST too :)

You definitely take the cupcake regarding “strive for the hardest”! There is absolutely no doubt about that :P

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Hooray! I'll probably buy the game when it releases as well, so let's keep each other updated about that! I'd love to (friendly) battle you. In regards to Hearthstone, I'm familiar, I've just never played it. Reading your impressions about it, though... seems awfully hard! Haha you can keep that nasty mind-frying game to yourself, lady! I'll just mop here with my Gwent instead thank you very much. I'm not sure what exactly are the card differences between the main game and the standalone, but they're there. I bet you'll spot them easily seeing as you got the whole deck.

They'd probably make stunningly beautiful kids too! My favorite point and click adventure game is The Curse of Monkey Island. Which is also my favorite game of all time ever. I had my pleasant share of staring at your Monkey Island post, seeing as I can never quite contain myself when talking about my favorite videogame franchise. I adored the Botanicula soundtrack myself! Especially that part with the wishes, where one of the little guys wishes for the circus and delightful track starts playing and it makes me so happy.

Why, thank you. *chews on hard-earned cookie voraciously*

Forsaken

Sure I’d be definitely up for some friendly battles :) Hearthstone became all about luck which is why I hate it now and haven’t played it in over 2 years. Sometimes a win can totally be dependent on 50% 50%. I’m glad Gwent has minimal RNG and I hope to see it remain the same in the standalone game.

I realised that I never played The Curse of Monkey Island :( I couldn’t find it on Steam, where can I play it and more importantly does it have Stan? I just LOVE Stan! Everytime he was around I roleplayed and waved my arms around when he was talking. He’s adorable :P

This is my favourite music from Machinarium. I especially love the saxophone parts and after 50 seconds or so accompanied with the drums the music becomes heaven to my ears :)

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Oh my this soundtrack is amazing. I have a feeling you'd love Papo & Yo and its soundtrack! Thanks for sharing that with me. Guess what is my favorite video game soundtrack and also my ringtone? You guessed it. Here you go, lass. I'm dancing in my chair already.

The Curse of Monkey Island is not on Steam and it hurts my soul every time I remember it. I've got the CD of it somewhere, I think. I lost it years ago, when I was a child and played it all the time and left it laying on random places. I cried a bunch when I couldn't find it anymore. That was years ago. Ever since, I've used ScummVM and a ripped copy of the game to play it. Now, I'd never do that to a game I love if I hadn't already paid for it and if there was any other way to play it. If they re-released it or something I'd buy it 10 times over. But I guess they've got their priorities and that's not one of them.

As for Stan: I LOVE him so much too! And Murray! Muhahahahaha and Guybrush! And Le Chuck! But yes, definitely Stan. Rest assured fellow pirate because he's in all of the games. He's indeed a delight and I chuckle over and over when I see him on-screen.

Also, The Curse of Monkey Island features a part of them game where the island gets full of fat chickens and I swear that is my favorite moment in a game ever and selecting "pick up > chicken" and then squeezing them was my most giggle-fit-indulging part of any game as a child. Still is.

Forsaken

That music is so cute and fun :) While I can’t dance myself I certainly can’t deny its “invitation” to make me get up and do some weird dancey moves :P My ringtone is this music from Witcher 3. I wanna let it ring and make whoever is calling me wait for ages when it rings :)

It’s very sad to hear about The Curse of Monkey Island and it was hurtful to read about you losing the CD. Lost things tend to show up out of nowhere after some time at least in my experience so with all my being I hope that it’ll turn up one day when you least expect it and put a smile on your face :)

Guybrush would be my 2nd favourite character. I especially love the way he picks up dogs and places in his coat :P There was a tiny reference to Monkey Island in Book of the Unwritten Tales II. When someone in a certain chapter asked your name and couldn’t recognise your voice, you can say the following:

Guybrush

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

I couldn't dance if my life depended on it myself, so take a chill pill, sister. I'm with you. Oh my Geralt I love that song. Can't believe it's your ringtone! That's brilliant. Let 'em call, we'll *never* pick it up quickly.

Well, except I've been looking for the CD for over 10 years. I found out that Amazon is selling it for 47 dollars + a lot of shipping to my country. It's the last copy, and I've been thinking of getting it. But then I remember I'm poor and eek... I dunno.

That reference is in the Book of Unwritten Tales 1 as well! I've only played like... 2 hours of it but I loved those 2 hours! Especially the Guybrush reference. Also, I have the whole Book of Unwritten Tales collection. I gotta play them...

In The Curse of Monkey island, mighty pirate Guybrush Threepwood fits an entire giant tofu in his pants. I used to ask my dad to reload that part over and over, just so I could fit a giant tofu in his pants. Oh, those were the days.

Forsaken

That price is quite a lot indeed but the game also has a lot of sentimental value for you. I’m sure you’ll make the right decision that will be the most satisfying for you.

I played Book of Unwritten Tales 1 ages ago so I really don’t remember much about it whereas I finished the 2nd game only 2 weeks ago or so. I hadn’t played Monkey Island back then when I played the first game so I definitely missed that reference :P

All this Monkey Island talk motivated me to get 100% achievements on Monkey Island Special Edition 2. I was missing 2 achievements (speed running the game and using helium balloon on myself) and I just got one more perfect game for my profile so I owe you huge thanks :D

Guybrush loves collecting animals in his coat :D

Forsaken

Those chickens are very cute, fluffy and sqeezable! I’m glad the game gives you the option to play with them. In most games when I want to pet an animal I don’t have the option to do so :’(

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Yes, it’s super heartbreaking, isn’t it? The reasons why The Curse of Monkey Island is my favorite game ever just keeeeeep stackin’!

Lucky Thirteen

Oh I tried playing as Norther Realms in this stand-alone game, I failed miserably haha :D Glad to read that you decided to give the multiplayer in GWENT a chance after all! Myself, I normally don’t like multiplayer/pvp and I avoid it like a plague, but in GWENT, it’s extremely enjoyable even if I keep losing :)
I just hope the game won’t become pay2win eventually.

Forsaken

Ok now I’m really curious about this Northern Realms deck in the standalone game, I really am :P I’m beginning to think that Witcher 3 deck is very different from the one in the standalone game.

Knowing that there is no interaction between the players put me at ease. It’ll feel like I’m playing against AI :) I really hope the same. There are enough pay2win games already, I hope they won’t ruin GWENT like that :(

Lucky Thirteen

Agreed, I also feel more comfortable knowing the other guys can’t bug you with their chatting during the game :D And maybe NR plays just like it plays in the Witcher 3, maybe I just suck at it :D

Garcias

Holy crap that was a pleasure for my eyes to witness.
Yet again, thanks to you, I’ve signed up for Gwent beta (even though I’m yet to play Witcher 2 and 3) and added you on gog. Thank you for the input on all these games! Now I know that I’ll most likely enjoy the games I had previously added to my wishlist.

Good luck! :D

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

I’m so glad you liked it! I was/am so unsure about my style of post this time. I’ll tone it down a bit next time, though.

I saw your invite on GOG! It popped up immediately. I’ve added you already. Do tell when you get your beta invite, so I can destroy you. (: jk i won't please play against me

You are always so kind! Thank you for commenting, Star Boy! It’s always appreciated.

Extra luck with cherry on top right back at you!

Garcias

I’ll tell you if when I have received beta acess and have a little bit of free time to try it out! I’m not that good in card games so you might destroy me indeed xD

Lucky Thirteen

I’m Thirteen_13 (I know, I know. All the good names containing “thirteen” were taken :D) on GOG, you can add me for a future game of GWENT too if you want to :)

Garcias

Can’t find you :o Mine is xgarcias, maybe you can find me?

Lucky Thirteen

Silly me, I didn’t enable the option for people to search for me :D Fixed now, sent you an invite (I hope it’s you hehe) :)

Garcias

Accepted!

Garcias

Hey there! If you didn’t received a copy till now (like me), I’ve entered this giveaway and redeemed one game copy for me. If you’re luck and in time, you can still get one too!

Lucky Thirteen

Thanks for the heads-up, but I already had a key from one of the previous giveaways :)

Garcias

Even better! I have been addicted to other games I’m currently playing so I don’t really wanna try it in the next few days but maybe later I’ll have the urge to play it xD

LastM

I got my invite some days ago. It’d be nice to have someone to play with. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ve played a lot of TW3’s version of it. I’ll send you an invite, if you don’t mind. I prabably won’t play much in the next few days, but there is a big national holiday coming up in my country approximately two weeks from now, so I’ll probably play loads of it. :)

PS: That’s some 11/10 formatting right there! If you ever start teaching a formatting 101 class, please, leave me message. I need it. xD

edit: Agora que vi que vc também é do Brasil, e eu aqui gastando meu inglês à toa xD. Já é a quarta pessoa do Brasil que vejo por aqui.

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

As soon as you mentioned Carnival, I knew you were Brazilian (I just knew it was Carnival you were talking about)! But you’re not “wasting” your English! Yours is very good and it’s always a pleasure to practice it with a fellow hue hue. I’ll accept you right away, doge! It will be my pleasure to play with you when the stars and our schedules align.

PS: Awn, thanks! You make me blush. I’ve actually been thinking of doing a “beginner’s HTML/markdown for BLAEO” post thing, but I’m not sure how much I can teach. Still, thanks for interest!

LastM

I get home around 11pm, so I guess that I’ll probably see you online only on the weekends. The game looks a lot like its original version minus the spies, which were really OP. I wanna try the skellige faction (IIRC they are exclusive to the standalone), even though I’ll always have a soft spot for the monster faction. Flooding has always been my favorite strategy since magic the gathering. Besides, after HS excessive randomness, gwent feels like a breath of fresh air.

TopDeer

Wow, I’m just speechless seeing your awesome multilayered complex layout! =o It’s more like a user interface, actually! Maybe you should look for a job developing those? =3 I would never have the willpower to write a layout like yours =)
What I noticed that it would be even greater if browsing didn’t need the upper tabs, but you did click on images itself to switch between the “chapters”, but I’m not sure how to implement that yet =o

As for the games, I’ve got my Gwent key, but I’m not sure when I will play it, because the requirement to download a GOG client is the thing I dislike too much =( Also, I’m still planning to play a dozen of steam games first (including some very long ones), so I might wait for the final version of the game. Haven’t played any card games for many years, last time it was poker in real life during the first years in university, maybe… Oh, wait, I was Magic: the Gathering player for a couple of years, I even entered one tournament, but it was also too long ago =) I didn’t play it too good, and my deck was average, but I just loved the art of those cards! It’s good I gave up on that, though, because it was a very expensive hobby D=

The Lion’s Song is on my radar for a while, like any other game about art, but I’m waiting for some discount on the season pass.

I’m following Astroneer, it has so much potential indeed, but what scares me the most is that the game would stay in Early Access forever, like so many other unfinished games I was hoping to play one day =( Seeing a game being developed year after year, changing its version from 0.384 to 0.385 is pretty depressing, that’s why I’m trying to avoid big indie projects like this. Well, maybe my descendants from the distant future will see those final releases - I’ll include my steam library in my will =D

Oh, I hope I’ll finish replaying The Witcher 3 this month… Just 1.5 DLCs left. Although, I heard the second one is at least 30 hours long D= No, it’s still great, but I’m starting to feel like there is nothing in the world except Witcher =o

It’s so good to read your thoughts, as always - please, continue to write them! =3

P.S. Oh my god, I almost lost what I’ve written here. I don’t know why I copied my answer (inner voice maybe?), but the next thing I saw after clicking “Reply” was “This page doesn’t exist” =o

Lucky Thirteen

I’ve got my Gwent key, but I’m not sure when I will play it, because the requirement to download a GOG client is the thing I dislike too much =(

That’s one of the reasons I hesitated, too. Not a fan of tons of various game clients, myself. In this case, it’s worth it though :)

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

I'm speechless seeing this awesome long post of yours! So glad when you comment, Deer! HTML compliments coming from you are always held in the highest of standards. There's a thought! But before applying for a job like that I think I'd need to know a bit more of CSS to be of use. Thanks for thinking it's that good!

That was my idea initially, to click on the images to browse through. But I reached the conclusion that I couldn't have a mosaic and clickable images. Please let me know if you know how to make images colorful once you hover over and b&w otherwise. If I had the code for that, I could just use regular images one on top of one another (like the strip banners I've used on my previous posts) and make them clickable! I'd love your input on this.

Also, I found this. Maybe it could help us? My biggest issue is that Mandrill made it so that posts on your profile have X width and on the "Activities" have Y width. So that ruins a lot of things for me.

Haha I loved to read about your pretty-cards addiction. I think I suffer from the same, I almost bought cards for Gwent even though it is in closed beta! I mean I'd lose everything afterwards but the cards are so pretty, amirite?

I was waiting for a discount on The Lion's Song too. If I hadn't been gifted it, I'd probably be waiting on it still. I'm sure a discount will come around soon enough.

Hahahah! You're one funny deer. Yes I have to agree, one of the first games I bought on Steam, way back in late 2013 (so long ago!) was an Early Access title. I'm still stuck on a very specific level that I hate for so many reasons and I've just given up on it. One of my very few regrets on my Steam Library.

REplaying it? Dear I haven't even played it! Hahaha you're so far ahead! And you're right: there's nothing in the world except for Geralt's nice bod and amazing skill. Sorry not sorry to disappoint.

You make me smile by saying you appreciate what I write. It means the world* and then some more.

PS: I always copy and paste everything I write. My Ctrl+A + Ctrl+C skills are lvl 100. Too many times I've lost long texts to my own stupidity.

*i meant to say that it means the geralt since the world is only geralt and geralt only

About clickable images: I wanted to do something like this for a long time, but apparently it is impossible without using javascript here. In any case, I wanted to experiment to see what I can and what I can’t do, but it might take a few hours, and I can’t find the right time for this recently =( Maybe I need some inspiration, like that time I’ve finished the new Deus Ex, and I thought I must recreate the pocket book from there using css no matter what =)

By the way, there is another thing we often discard while creating our layouts: mobile browsers. Everything could look great on PC, but on cellphones everything shrinks horizontally, and some designer’s things make posts unreadable. For example, floating pictures can transform text into an unreadable vertical column. That’s why I became careful while positioning elements beside each other. It matters to me personally too, because I also visit the site from different devices.

Oh, that game, Dream D= I was their backer at first, but their campaign was unsuccessful. Then, I bought the game when it became available, and patiently waited for the early access stage to finish. When I’ve finally decided to play it, I found out that the game is just terrible. I roamed around a house for a little, got stuck in some door and uninstalled it =(

Aren’t you a bit obsessed with Geralt? =)

I know I’m late to the party, but check this out.
How to make a section of an image a clickable link

First few examples won’t work here, but this will:

It’s clunky and you have to pay attention to image scaling, but it works. I’m sure some jury-rigging could make it work directly for tabs. Sadly I don’t think making parts of a single image change if you hover over them is natively possible.

I dread to even imagine how my posts look on mobile. :D

Not a fan of survival/crafting games but ASTRONEER has my curiosity, from the little i saw or read it looks like a fun time

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

“Fun” is a very good word to describe it! When things didn’t break, I found myself exploring the universe with a smile. When they did, I laughed at myself for wasting effort.

I’m also not a fan of both those genres, but ASTRONEER has charm to spare, so perhaps it can charm you like it did me.

Douglas

Damn girl, this post… I’m trying to find the right word to say how amazing it is, but is complicated :p But really, well done Coraline, your post style is amazing.
Those games you played, well, most of them, look so good, I mean in a visual way. I love games with a good visual, and you got my attention with some of them.

Alright, for you first question and GWENT… To be honest I don’t like card games and the only one I “played” was Hearthstone. Ok, I confess that I only played it to get a mount in Warcraft (aha, I don’t even play WoW anymore). Is 100% OJ considered a card game? Or is it just a tabletop game? If is also a card game, I can say I liked it, so sad I don’t play much :x

The Trader of Stories looks sooooo beatiful, omg. Those screenshots are great! I should definitely try this one eventually. But you know, our backlog and lack of enough time to play all our games, so I’m not sure when this will happen :( But I’ll keep this one in mind for the future \o/ I won’t forget :D

The Lion’s Song is soo you, well, not sure if it is, but I mean, because of Freud and you studying Psychology :p
Seems an interesting game… hmm, I think my sister would like it even more (she wants to study Psychology as well) - I think I’ll tell her about it :DD
Ahh, sorry to read about your guide, but don’t give up!! I know and believe you can finish it sending all luck of the world and good energy. And if this motivate you somehow, I don’t have the game, but I’ll read your guide anyway :3
I stalked checked your screenshots on Steam… one, they are nice, and two: I also love sketches. I even keep some of my sketches :o

One Shot looks mysterious. For some reason I think I played a game with a similar story, but I can’t remember (so many games D: my memory is not the same anymore u.u)
Who’s Capivara?! I want to know that too… whyy did you do this to me? I’m a curious person :p

Astroner Ohh, this game. I just checked its store page few days ago (not sure why) since I don’t like these games, but for some unknown reason I loved what I watched there. It seems to have so much to do and build and explore wow! Seems a very nice game. It is all that No Man’s Sky wanted to be LOL hahaha
Any idea when will it get out of Early Access? Can’t wait to see more about it :D
PS: Love that song: Live and Let Die

Congrats with all your progress and about all games you played so far, they look good (most of them) and I know the feeling of be gifted and don’t have enough time to play those amazing games we got from our lovely friends D: I’m still working on my gifts too… Uhh, as I always say, I want a day with 48 hours!!
Oh, and Botanicula… a lovely friend said good things about this game. I hope I can get my hand on it soon. It is just beatiful!
So sad you didn’t like Machinarium. I still didn’t play it but I have plans to start soon. It looks gorgeus! :3

Also, you guys don’t wanna know when was the last time I played Dust.

Sooo, when did you play Dust last time? :P hahaha sorry, but I needed to ask.

Anyway, omg, I so sorry for this huge comment :p
I really really loved your post style… I can just imagine how much effort you put on it. But is a nice one. Well done, again :3 - as I alraedy said to you, hope to see more of your posts here :D
Good luck with what comes next and also with everything!! :3
E perdão se alguma coisa não fizer sentido rsrs estou longe de saber Inglês

Damn boi... sorry for the dead meme but i adore this meme i don't even it's so lame Thank you! I mean it. A lot of effort was involved into this... hydra of sorts. I felt like Hercules shopping the HTML heads away to make it work only to see two more problems pop up in its stead.

Glad their pretty faces caught your attention. I guarantee you that their looks aren't the half of it.

Other people mentioned Hearthstone on the comment section already too! So nice to see y'all enjoyed, even though I've never even tried it myself. Same goes for WoW. And, beg pardon, what is 100% OJ?

The Trader of Stories series is indeed worthwhile! Very captivating. No rush in trying it out because, you know, priorities. But do let me know when and if you do!

Haha! The Lion's Song IS very me indeed. I couldn't agree more. I found myself in that game, dude. Not even joking. It ran off with my hearth and left a hole where it once lay. No idea you had a sis! By all means, if she ever wants to know what Psychology's like, do PM me on Steam and I'll give you my e-mail or something so I can talk to her about my college experience so far and answer her questions – because I'm sure she has many, as I did myself before enrolling. It'll be my pleasure.

I'll try to finish the guide! But it'll take forever since I'm in my last week of vacations and I'm using my free time for other things atm. Thanks so much for the support. Means a lot. (: Sketches are the best, and I have tons of them myself. Way more than finished pieces haha!

Undertale, perhaps? I got an Undertale-ish vibe from OneShot myself. I can't tell you why, though. It'd spoil the fun. I'm Capivara! It's my PC's username. Some fourth-wall breaking moments in this game.

Haha! Astroneer succeeds in every aspect No Man's Lie fails at. It'll take... years, probably, to get out of Early Access. It's in an early Alpha built atm. It's moving forward at astounding speeds, though, and the devs are some of the best I've ever seen. So you never know. The devs make their update plans public, though, and you can check out what's coming next, what's a priority, what's a maybe, etcetera. Check this post out for more on their road map.

James Bond songs are majestic.

Did you know that Venus has a day so long it out-values its year's length? Wanna move over? Alpaca lunch.

I'm guessing I'm the lovely friend? *wiggles eyebrows* Jokes aside, your friend has fantastic taste and you should listen to their advice.

The last time I played Dust was 23/12/14

The length of your post is fine since I too got caught up in my reply to you. We're both losers, and that's fine. Thank you so much for your interest in what I write, and I hope to keep seeing you around.

Twice the luck with extra fries for you.

Seu inglês é ótimo. Eu dei aula de inglês por anos, e eu vi cada atrocidade...

Hahaha that meme… Made my day as if it was the first time I was watching. Thanks for make me smile :3 I can just imagine how much effort was involved… You are definitely the feminine version of Hercules and you defeated the monstrosity called HTML \o/ \o/ Yaay! I always have this issue when I’m making my humble posts. I fix a problem and break everything else T-T

You should try Hearthstone one day. I think you would enjoy it. 100% OJ is the short version for 100% Orange Juice, but thinking about the game, I think it is more a tabletop game than a card game.
And I’ll definitely try to find some time to play The Trader of Stories and of course, let you know. It seems so cool, I mean, I loved its art style and this is one of the things that make me play some games even if I don’t like much its genre.

Oh, that feeling… you really loved The Lion’s Song then :3 You need something similar to it to fill this hole in your heart D: Haha, not just one, but three sisters and three brothers lol seriously you would do that? Ohh, you’re so kind. I’ll talk to her and see if she wants to know something about Psychology. btw, I don’t think I can PM you there D: I’m not in your list T-T in any case, I’ll her thoughts about that :D, again, you’re too kind.

Hope to see this guide one day. I believe you can finish it, but take your time and eventually you’ll finish it. :D - Oh, so do you like to draw too? I like to draw but even though they’re not perfect, but is what I can do :p and I like it anyway \o/

I don’t think it was Undertale (never played it, yet!). But if I remember what was it, I’ll let you know :D (if you want to, of course). Oh thanks for don’t spoil anything, I kinda hate spoilers because I never forget about them D: - Oh, you’re Capivara… Ok, I have some control and I won’t ask why this username :p

Is really nice to see developers interested in give us the best experience with their games and involved with the community. I wish all developers thought like that :x

Old songs are the best!! (in my opinion)

Ooooky everybody… I’m moving to Venus. Bye Earth! ahahahaha and I think read something about that one day, but you know those knowledge we learn but forget about them later, well, this was probably one of them :p

You’re also a lovely friend (yes, I already consider you a friend) :p - I tend to listen their advice. You’re totally right, they have nice taste.

Thanks for put an end in my curiosity about Dust :p wow, it was indeed a loooong time ago. Hope you can go back to it eventually. sending best wishes and good luck

Believe me, I’m always interested in your posts :D keep posting \o/ \o/
Oh, fries, tasty :D I’ll keep some for you, if you want :p
Wish you all the best Coraline, for real and everyone around you :3

Sei lá, como eu só estudei uns 6 meses e tive que parar, nunca me sinto confiante e acho que metade das coisas estão todas erradas. Obrigado pelo elogio <3

Douglas

Just dropping by to say that I found something in your post haha
“oh hai there no one will ever find me” - I confess, I was looking your code, try to find something to steal borrow.

Lucky Thirteen

Oh boy, where do I start? Maybe by saying that I absolutelly love your new layout, especially how you highlight the related picture while the others are grayed out. Very nice touch!
It took me quite a while to start playing GWENT after getting the closed beta invite too, by the way. I was like: “Meh, another card game, I don’t enjoy those anyway. Not worth my time.” I couldn’t have been more wrong! I think I mentioned it in my own update, I really like that GWENT is rather simple to understand compared to most otehr card games. Also:

you play with fellow flesh and bones friends in the real world. Like, you know, normal human beings. Once in never. And then you lose because you suck.

That sounds very much like me, yes :D

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Oh boy, how do I reply? Haha! Thank you so much for the compliment! I absolutely mean it. It was such a p-a-i-n to do I almost flipped my table instead of actually finishing it. That greying out did require some photo editing, and I love that you appreciate it!

Yes, exactly! I did want the invite for the beta like a baby wants his mother’s tits, but once I got I just didn’t know what do with myself. Welp, now I have 20 hours in it and counting. I adore it!

I’ve added you and I look forward to playing a few matches with you, 13!

(you also have a great username, a black cat and a lucky 13 are sure to get along just fine, don’t you think?)

Lucky Thirteen

a black cat and a lucky 13 are sure to get along just fine

Indeed, a match made in heaven! :D

Joe

Haha like everyone else I’m sitting in amazement looking at this post, honestly it’s seriously impressive! Deary me looking at how busy you’ve been I can’t say I’m surprised you haven’t started on Volume yet lol, but with you checking my progress I better finish Botanicula right away… :P Coincidentally I’m playing through the first Witcher game for the first time at the moment which is a lot of fun despite its age but I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable playing Gwent without playing it in the Witcher 3 first, looks fun though!

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Hey there, Joe! Hope you are doing great. Thank you for the compliment! :’D I really want to play Volume, so hopefully I will soon and will be able to give you my impressions! I really wanna know your thoughts on Botanicula. Eh, I now own Witcher 1 on GOG since they gave me a copy for free (???) but I don’t really feel like playing it at all. I’m so glad you’re having fun, though! Well, do keep me updated on your Geralt progress and thoughts!

Shax

Hey Coraline!
Niko doesn’t have a confirmed gender by the devs yet, but that’s not important.

Love your amazing effort and nice post!

I want to say something about OneShot but I’ll try not to spoil anything for you. We (the OneShot community) are expecting an update or something on March 20th for reasons I will not disclose in which it will probably require another full playthrough. So I recommend finishing your first run as soon as possible and then play it again on March 20. I really want to discuss more about this awesome game but I don’t want to hint at anything yet. If you’d love talking about it would you mind adding me and tell me what you think/how you are progressing as you play along? I’d really love to discuss this game with someone!

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Hey Lion!

Oh my Zeus of course that's important! What an idiot I was. Thank you for pointing that out. I guess we could say it... sheds a new light on things. *ba dum tss*

Thank you thank you thank you thank for letting me know about that. I'm absolutely putting OneShot as my number 1 to play game and I'll try to snatch one or two hours of it today (my day's gonna be very busy, actually) and finish it by Sunday. Could you give me an estimate on the time required to finish? Just so I can plan myself better, nothing precise.

I've added you already. Expect dozens of messages as I play, because I talk a lot and you asked for it! *evil laugh*

Oh, and thanks for the compliment on the post!

Shax

I’m looking forward to your messages very much! I believe it took me about 5-6 hours to finsih the game, but Imight have done a little extra exploring. So I think it will take a good 4-6 hours to do the first run, Have no idea what the second run should be like yet.

Also I love the beat and the feel of the song but the lyrics kinda put me down :S This is one of those completely bittersweet songs and I put it on repeat

☽ Coraline Castell ☾

Oh that's short enough! I was bracing myself for 20 hours or longer for an answer. Feeling the relief right now. I'll definitely wait to play it on Friday or something, so I can play it in one sitting-of-the-butt-on-the-chair. I'm very slow on games because I like to appreciate details, poke idiotic things and walk around in circles for no good reason other than giggling to myself. So I'll trust 5-6 hours will be the charm.

I'm glad you liked the song! I have more where that came from, Lion, and I always love to share.

Shax

I love that kind of music but on certain moods which now is not one of them.
This and this have been fueling me this past week

Trent

Wow, I just saw this and what a wonderful update! I’ve seen some pretty nicely-formatted updates, but this one just might take the cake.
So, a few comments!

  • I’ve never played GWENT, but I’ve heard such good things about it. I don’t play multiplayer games, but I’ll keep an eye out for a SP campaign mode. LOL at the gif you “dropped” :P
  • So apparently I downloaded Carpe Diem and got the achievement last May, but I have no memory of this. I guess that speaks for itself.
  • That is a nice soundtrack for Curse of Monkey Island. Have you heard the orchestral version?
  • “He also farts. It’s adorable.” Where’ve you been all my life! :3 j/k
